Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

How symbolic. One can almost imagine some leftard taking the place of that boy, seeking shelter from those that they have dedicated their life to ridiculing. I wonder how Jack Layton or Steffi-Dawn (or any other similar hippie, commie-sympathizer) would react if they were in the same situation. I would guess that they would soil themselves and then run and hide behind the soldier.
God Bless those that keep us safe and ask so little in return.
No, Layton et al would say that it is the soldier’s fault that the crowd was bombed in the first place. If the soldier wasn’t there then everyone would be safe.
Its what leftists do, blame everyone else who’s trying to help instead of blaming the person or people who deserve it.
God bless our troops. Every one of them. Thank God there are men of valour to stand and defend the freedom of lesser men than they.
“noddyrules” Well said, totally right on.
i have seen very little comment about the soldiers who saved the naked starving handicapped kids in bagdad last week. a truly heroic act.
That boy is going to have to find a better place to take cover though. If you look at the Soldiers legs, he’s already started to head in the direction of the danger.
“This soldier that stands between him and shrapnel”, more like. Doesn’t mean you love the soldier if you use him as armor plating.
Disregard the comment at 7:06 PM. It truly must be an idiot to say something like that, unless I misunderstood.
This is what soldiers do. They cover for the civilians and the little ones.
Perhaps the boy just hid, behind anybody or anything that he could find. I know the feeling from many years ago. A young woman, maybe 50 m (150 ft) from me was not so lucky, when the big socialists came to save us from ourselves.
Hoo Ahh!
Thank God for the men and women who stand on the walls keeping us safe. Soldiers, Cops, firemen and EMS all deserve a big shout out! HooAhh!!
