Robert “F*** the Jews” McClelland is in deep dippity doo doo today, with Cherniak leading the charge.
Sadly, the creeping anti-semitism in the Left is nothing new, as we conservatives have been pointing out for years now. Maybe this incident will inspire some introspection.
Here’s what really interests me (and maybe no one else):
Why do we have these political blogrolls anyway? Let’s be honest: they are mostly a circle jerk slice of code we use to game our rankings on Truth Laid Bear. If they “need” to exist, they certainly shouldn’t display official party logos if they (the blogrolls) are “unofficial” to begin with.
You can’t blame an ordinary, non-political-junkie browser from assuming that these blogrolls are wholly owned subsidiaries of their respective parties. Why not reduce the chance of confusion by stripping out logos and/or calling these sites the Blogging Conservatives or Socialists? Just askin’. Do whatever the hell you want with your stuff, dudes.
I’m also troubled slightly by Jason Cherniak’s rather “keener boy” remark that:
I cannot believe that the members of the party of Stephen Lewis could be even remotely comfortable with Mr. McClelland acting as an unofficial spokesperson for them.
Why would any organization have the time or inclination to police its “unofficial” spokesmen? I know Cherniak is Mr. Party Politics and is probably all into rules and regulations and party discipline and stuff, but really. I’m troubled by his implication that some Central Authority should be monitoring bloggers who call themselves liberals, conservatives or socialists just because a brat like McClelland (or me) may drive off the reservation and crash into a ditch.
Scold “official” spokesmen all you want. But if you catch an “unofficial” blogger in your nets, toss us back.
I realize many of you are angling for “official” party jobs through your blogs. (I can tell by how boring your posts are…) Not me. I smell a campaign brewing to “clean up” the political blogosphere to make it safe for all you careerist, no-talent party hacks. And I don’t like it.

Hey, Smeagol the Jew? That’s a new one for me. Do you think I should add this lovely nick-name that Robert gave me to my profile?
Vitruvius of your 10:09 post, Duly noted, I stand corrected, and my thanks goes to Tenebris.
LOL on the omphaloskepsis! Wonder if there’s a correlation between this affliction and the current must have navel pericings.
“actions speak louder than words”
well, sometimes the actions ARE the words.
about 10 or 12 years ago when we were still in burbankburlington, I had the inspiration to buy an ad in the local rag expressing an apology to any and all Jews for any remarks I may have said that could be viewed and anti-Jewish or anti-semite.
it took 3 trips to the paper’s head office on fairview street. the last time, I insisted on speaking to the general manager to find out what the impediment was and lacking a sensible answer he relented and took the ad.
I wish I had kept a copy.
I promised never to speak in derogatory terms about Jews or Israel and so far have kept the promise.
I still think when the shyt hits the fan and armageddon rolls out, Germany will have pause and send its army to defend Israel as atonement and be gratefully welcomed by the Israeli leaders and people. its a nice sentiment anyway.
spoken like a real label snaggin’ leftard ‘moonbat’ eh?
Why did you need to publicly announce this robertbollocks?
I don’t understand, really. Why?
To take an ad out in the paper?
Was this a change for you?
robertbollocks – good questions posed by Idd.
Why DID you take out an ad? Seems a bit extreme, but I dunno what you may or may not have said to any Jewish folks in the area.
Was there any response to the ad…? How did that turn out?
BTW, I think you can be critical of Israel and not be anti-semitic.
As for your thoughts on Germany rushing to Israel’s defense if the Big One hits the fan… yeah, nice sentiment. Hope you’re not holding your breath waiting on that one, however.

methinks it can all be explained away as a mere typo.
not blogrolls; blogTrolls…..
LOL !!!
regarding the ad; very few things are done for just one reason, despite oftentimes the emphasis on just one reason. this is especially true in politics and all its offspring.
some of the reasons for the ad was basically to challenge myself to start with a clean slate.
also I was taking my poli sci stuff @ McM at the time and saw some of the rough handling the jewish undergrads were getting in the ‘history of the ME’ course.
and I was curious to see if there was any reaction; there wasnt and (like I said, rarely is there just one reason) I was interested to see if anyone followed suit, no one did.
what else. oh ya, it was around the time I first heard about ‘fatwa’ and the jewish equivalent the term, (which escapes me).
and also it was around the time I was pretty much fed up with the despicable way tiny Israel was being treated on the world stage. the mexican vote to censure Israel in the UN and the huge publicity to encourage jewish-american tourists to stay away from that part of central america in droves was fresh in my mind.
fuk I hate a bully.
Ive had a few one way correspondences with the Israeli consulate in T.O. over the years since then, encouraging and supporting them. Ive got the fax # here somewhere.
spoken like a true leftard moonbat eh?
“Profanity is discouraged”
I use this loophole.
‘discouraged’ does not = ‘not permitted’ ……
Thank you for answering robertbollocks, as you may have noticed I’m somewhat new around here. I’m grateful you replied and shared this.
Shows a deeper level and consideration of others to me.
I recall when I learned about the Holocaust as a student in high school, literally in shock for quite a while, I read even more than the assigned reading, during the following summer.
It is interesting and a little sad that you didn’t get a response.
And I gather the “spoken like a true leftard moonbat eh?” is in reference to previous discussions.
It’s a tough ride on these political boards, as sometimes the reducing everything to ‘left’ and ‘right’ constantly can be limiting for discussions, just as I’m sure most people are not all one way or the other.
( with exceptions of course, can’t forget robbie-boy )
Again thanks for your reply, and see you around.
Cherniak looks a bit like somebody that could become a rapist or pervert if you ask me.
Having a long history with McClelland I still cannot decide if he is simply, sadly, crazy with recurring bouts of hyper acute BDS punctuated with short spells of quasi respectable leftism or if he is a full on hater whose current remarks reveal just a little more than he would have preferred to.
However, the delightful spectacle of wannabe Liberal apparatchik Cherniak in a cage fight with McClelland warms my heart.
And, en passant, I note that apparatchik Cherniak lauds Dion’s condemnation of the whisper campaign without mentioning who was doing the whispering. Which might be termed the soft racism of electoral expectations.
A campaign to clean up the blogosphere for no-talent party hacks? Sorry Kathy, I can’t see that happening. Not to put too fine a point on it, but what would be the motivation?
Say, on an unrelated topic, anyone want to place a bet on how many days it will be before a Warren Kinsella column using McClelland’s latest face-chewing episode to argue for more control of the blogosphere appears in the National Post?
I’ll say…two. The unfettered-ness of the blogosphere — it’s parochial fact-checking “truthiness” and it’s lack of “dignitude” — has played a huge part in the Liberals’ downfall. And don’t be fooled by…..actually, scrap that, no one’s fooled — despite his large wardrobe of slip-on political costumes, each with its own cooing tone, there’s no doubt that the fighting Irishman is the Liberal stalwart nonpareil.
He previously brushed up against the topic of regulation in a newpaper column which was in tone a formally exasperated call for common grace. If he wishes to dig for that most utile point again — using different words, of course — he couldn’t reach much deeper into the blogo-barrel than our cousin-in-the-wool-cap Robert McClelland.
By publishing a brand-new column on the sort of issues that inevitably flower up around people like ‘Clell, WK could push with his typing fingers for the Liberals’ last hope — a return to Lib-tribe control of various media — while simultaneously demonstrating that, despite the ethno-politics at the last Liberal convention, where Bob Rae was assailed, vote wise, for his, I don’t know, Jew-ey contaminations — the Liberals are the Good Canadian party they claimed, with great effectiveness, before the claim reached a critical momentum of public ridiculousness.
If anyone can bridge the gap, it’s Kinsella. The sheer distance between his occasionally maudlin calls for sensitivity on matters usually racial and his bracing, red-faced, no limit-deployment of insults and bullying and threats of lawsuits whenever he gets his Irish up makes him one of the truly audacious Canadians extant. God knows we don’t have a lot of real Canadian characters these days.
Some might call such flexibility “hypocrisy”, but it’s actually range. In a single week on his website he can go from evincing the sincere, self-aware sanctimony of a choirboy who’s selling candles on the side to unleashing against a woman who dared cross him the sort of vicious insults that would earn him a fist in the mouth in the widest imaginable range of economic milieus and ethnic and party affiliations.
Most people stick to one position, which is actually kind of boring. What makes WK so interesting, and such a compelling and popular and widely read figure is that every time he “loses it” he follows up by doing up his top button and explaining to those coming down the hall that a great affront to common grace has just left the room, and that he’ll lead the search party in the most highly commendable fashion.
He is one of the select few who come close to fully utilizing the wide range of communications made possible by blogging. His only limitations — his writing ability, his lack of negative capability, his incorrect assumption that he is opaque, and his temper — are his strengths, because the results for his readers are — in effect if not in intent — honesty and entertainment.
IMHO, when a world-class bullshitter’s honesty can override his bullshit without rendering his bullshit voiceless, it’s always entertaining. And it’s clearly very, very hard to do.
I want to something perfectly clear, for legal reasons: when I suggest that WK’s most entertaining, widest-ranging expressions would not be possible were it not for the physical distance, and especially the lack of editorial restraint that the blogosphere provides, I am basing this entirely on my own assumption that he wouldn’t use either his national newspaper column or his radio appearances to call a woman an “unsightly gnome” or a “dwarf”.
So, two days? Four? Next week?
But minion, they are, and the UN says so:
http://www.miftah.org/Doc/Reports/Englishcomplete2003.pdf
Look up the word “retarded” in the dictionary.
You forgot “violent”. “Violent retards.”
And in fairness to Kinsella, I _am_ only 4’11”.
I delisted myself from the blogging tories years ago because we do not see eye to eye on may policies and also I do not want a political partisan label placed on what I say or think.
As for the anti-semite cat calls…I can’t say what McClellan feels but I have to go on what he says…and he appears to subscribe to the genetic old soviet theory of the Zionist bankers conspiracy…this is generic in all dogmatic socialists…first they dispise any church or religious belief which detracts total control of the people by the utopian state, but the double whammy of Jews with money has been a crypto-commie boogy man since Stalin was a cowboy.
Guess Bob’s Freudian slip came out at a bad time.
It also displays why I feel”myblahg” has little intellectual value to offer the blogospere…but keep ranting Rob, we need your vulgar, foamy-mouthed leftist dogmatism to make GW Bush seem like a moderate 😉
It does not matter what political strip you wear. This is an issue of hatred that needed to be dealt with and I congratulate Jason for bringing this to light and exposing McClellan for the vile hate filled person he really is.
Good on ya Jason.
Now get back to defending Dion and his crew so we can get on bashing your opinions…….GRIN!
Unless you can provide physical evidence that one Canadian jew was physically damaged by McClellan’s idiotic spew, it reamains just so much vulgar stupidity.
I think hate laws are the most consitutionally dangerous thing we have ever had to cope with as a free society….these will convict on hear say and with no damage done other than hurt tender feelings.
Leave me out of these ethnic witch hunts…even if they do chew up a vulgar crypto-commie
If any Jew is paranoid enough to think he can be damaged by McClellan’s idiotic spew, maybe it’s a shrink he needs, not a Lawyer.
I think hate laws are the most consitutionally dangerous thing we have ever had to cope with as a free society….and having cjunk moderate this website is doing the same thing to Kate.
Lets shut up people who dont say what paul wants them to say…or at least say it the way that makes him feel all warm and snuggly inside.
Lighten up people, all that is happening here is the NDP does not want their name associated with a bigot. Nobody can or is trying to shut him up on his own blog.
FREE, this blog is private property and Kate is under no obligation to give you a place to rant and rave about faggots all the time.
Free: This is not my blog, but I’ve been given the responsibility, with others, of maintaining it while Kate is gone. So here’s how I work.
I will operate on a standard that may be more restrictive than when Kate is here, but I believe in taking better care of someone else’s home than my own. I feel responsible, and in that, I will deal accordingly. Several people have expressed gratitude that some of the posts were deleted, so not everyone feels as you do.
When Kate is back … feel free to test out her tolerance level.
I have to agree with Wyl on hate laws. They are an incredibly dangerous tool in the wrong hands.
If Robbie was fomenting murder or active acts which would endanger, either materialy or physically any community, then there are laws to deal with that. You don’t need hate laws.
Liberals have their own issues on anti-semitism. Ask Bob Raes wife.
(psssst, Idd: sometimes I log on with the verbal jousting just for the entertainment value)
fast rewind to 2004, we’re wrapping up a construction project, and the site foreman asks me bluntly ‘jeezuz f’en kerist bollocks, what makes you so mouthy ????’ (this after months and months and umpteen dozen quips, wisecracks, jokes and stinging observations of events and actions on that job and in the larger sphere)
comes the reply with the appropriate pregnant pause and facial expression:
– uhhhhh…. practice ?????????
– aaaaggghhh !!!! see what I mean !!!! cries the exaspirated site mgr. LOL !!!
my boss would not sack me because I do very very good work and actually show up when I say. thus I was protected from the demands by the site mgr on the grounds that I was perfectly willing to drag him ( the site mgr) into court for wrongful dismissal and told him so.
I can’t believe that all of this space has been wasted on Rob M! Could we find something important to debate?????? Kate likes it when we ignore the trolls…….

As I sit here thunderstruck, watching
the Liberal Attorney-General channeling
Charlton Heston, I start to recognise
the sickly sweet smell permeating the
air all around me.
It smells like… surrender.

Obviously you did not read the UN report at the link did you minion… You do know what a minion is don’t you;
min·ion (mÄn’yÉ™n)
n.
An obsequious follower or dependent; a sycophant.
A subordinate official, especially a servile one.
This is not to be confused with a “minyan” – a group of 10 or more males aged 13 or older, required to conduct Jewish public worship.
I would have to assume from your rapid spew technique that you are a Liebeal or Dipper minion or sycophant. Read the UN report then comment, by the way, it was written by Arabs, for Arabs and funded by Arabs – and it was still pretty harsh, go figure.
“There’s no reason to kick McClelland off the Blogging Dippers, he perfectly represents their vacuous philosophy. He’s just dumb enough to throw caution to the winds and say what he really thinks, unlike the rest of them who chose to speak in code. Keep going, Robert!!! Tell us what you really think, you addled socialist you!”
Couldn’t agree more.
Conservatives should want honest leftists like that, to illustrate the failed ideology of Liberalism. I personally find the rabid anti-semitism at the blog to be much less pervasive and offensive than the rabid pro-communism there…
LOl ok RB, I’ll remember that.
Carry on, looking forward to the humor.
AND just to set the record straight, again.
My apologies to The Phantom and all.
RE: On who first used ‘addled’ to describe ‘cull’s brain or his whathaveyou, by The Phantom, at March 5, 2007 7:13 pm.
(ahem, now that’s the end of this ‘little’ story. (i hope!) )
I’d say his RM person has some mental health issues, based on a very superficial viewing a few months ago.
Not to mention a tenuous grasp on realilty…
As a Jew, there is only one thing I need to say to Mr. McClelland:
I own you. I am the media, and I own you.
If he wants to be an anti-semite, then the entire Jewish community can see to it that he gets rejected in regards to anything and everything Jewish.
Which means he’ll have to stop playing on the internet, as it was invented by a Jew.
