Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Wow, from the horse’s mouth.
Will the peacenick-surrender-monkies read this though?
You might consider reading this for the larger picture –

Reading this interview underscores the absolute uselessness of the the networks(except FOX), all the wire services, poll surveys and the majority of newspapers in covering Iraq and Afghanistan the past four years. I can’t think of one talented reliable MSM journalist’s name, spending time with the troops and locals and asking the right questions, when it comes to qualitative consistent war coverage. Not one name. Four years into Iraq. Unbelievable.
Thank God for Bill Roggio, Michael Yon, Michael Tottem and all of the other citizen journalists for their efforts. My hope is that someday serious funding from wealthy conservative donors supports them and many others.
There are alternatives to the MSM monopoly and their insipid agenda driven garbage, it’s just getting the word out.
Gee, you’d think commentors like “agitfact” would at least acknowledge these so-called “chickenhawks” for what they’re doing.
Michelle Malkin is in Iraq as well (or recently returned.)
Not one word of acknowledgement.
Kate,
You want acknowledgement of what the chickenhawks are doing? Well, they are there to write up large the human element to try to reduce the domestic impact of the disaster their preaching has helped shape. As in “They tried so hard, they did their best, they suffered like you wouldn’t believe, but they were stabbed in the back” (or other reason for failure short of admitting that it was the wrong war for the wrong reason.)
If there is more to their effort than that hoary propaganda ploy, I am sure that you will let me know. The “truth” has been freely available for a long time, even in the MSM. You just have to get out of denial and face it.
Is this your way of saying:
“I was completely and totally wrong about Jamil Hussein and AP, and pretty much everything else in this disastrous war and I should keep my big fat mouth shut about Iraq forever more?”
No?
Too bad.
Get used to your zero-credibility. You’ve had time enough.
Just for a laugh, I checked in on Malkin’s imbecilic trip to Iraq.
I notice she took many security precautions.
Which is strange, considering she (and many morons and liars like her) claim that Bagdhad is as safe or safer than most large US cities.
I read her scanty summation of her trip. A bunch of propagandistic drivel. Surprise, surprise, … she went to Iraq a “pessimist” [lie] and came back optimistic. Based on one paragraph of rather thin “good news.”
“I notice she took many security precautions.
Which is strange, considering she (and many morons and liars like her) claim that Bagdhad is as safe or safer than most large US cities.”
Hey thwap, you been to Bagdad? Ever been to toronto? Even in the centre of the Canadian universe there are places you only visit if you take security precautions. you are truly a certifiable idiot.
They found Jamil Hussein? Where?
If you’re really interested in the progress of that controversy, you’d best bookmark http://www.floppingaces.net as I only do periodic updates.
Oh for god’s sake!
I’m certifiable am i Texas Canuck?
I take it you embed yourself with a platoon of US troops when you visit Dallas or Houston?
I take it we’re to imagine Malkin arranges armoured humvees and armed escorts whenever she goes to a US city for a speaking engagement?
Your attempts to cover your girlfriend’s hypocrisy, cowardice and stupidity are laughable.
Oh for god’s sake II!
Sorry kate, we cross-posted.
So now Jamil Hussein doesn’t exist again?
I’m supposed to bookmark useless moron “floppingaces” to keep up with the latest twists in this non-story?
You guys talk about AP’s credibility, and then you pull this garbage:
“JH doesn’t exist!/JH is a terrorist sympathizer!/ JH doesn’t exist!/ JH does exist, but he’s a liar!/ JH has been arrested for the heinous crime of “talking to journalists”/JH doesn’t exist again!”
In the end, Bagdhad and Iraq are STILL disasters, torn to pieces by sectarian, ethnic, political, and imperialist violence. So either you have no wider point than that sometimes the MSM screws up [news flash: WMDs!] or you have some wider point that is bogus.
Take your pick.
No, sorry, … I don’t have all the time in the world for that nonsense. I’ll stick to occasional visists here and at FD for my fill of that sort of wankery.
I don’t have all the time in the world for that nonsense. I’ll stick to occasional visists here….
Pretty, pretty, please, don’t go.
I bet when you were a kid at the playground when things didn’t go your way you picked up all of your toys and ran home.
Not all of us can make a smooth transitions into adulthood. We are so sorry. Pweeze, pweeze, pweetty pweeze, don’t go, we’ll be nicer.
Calm down penny!
I said that I’d come back to this site and FD from time to time for my fill of right-wing (or whatever you call yourselves) stupidity.
So relax! 🙂
Of course, if you ever have a coherent, relevant response to anything, I’d be absolutely delighted to hear about that too.
Must not feed trolls, must not feed trolls…
Thank God for people like Bill Ardolino, Michelle Maulkin and the bloggers actually over there. They are giving us a real insite as to what is happening on the ground over there and not just some 15 second blurb that can be shown on the evening news. The more read or hear from bloggers in these theaters of operations, the better and truer picture I get of what is really going on. It is so much more than the good guys wear white hats and the bad guys wear black. It is like saying that Paris carbeques are nothing more than youthful exuberance. The war against terrorism is as much winning the hearts and minds of the people caught in the middle as it is putting a bullet between Osama’s eyes.
“I’m supposed to bookmark useless moron “floppingaces” to keep up with the latest twists in this non-story?”
You asked. Now, either stay on topic, or head back to Rabble.
kate, in all seriousness, when i mentioned Jamil Hussein you replied to the effect that he hasn’t been found yet.
Then you told me to bookmark “floppingaces” so as to keep up with the latest on that story.
I replied that given the nonsensical nature of malkin, floppingaces, et.al. on the subject, … I mean, YOU GUYS have been all over the place on that story, as I described above. It’s you guys who have no credibility and who look like fools.
And, for the umpteenth time, this is a non-story.
Either you’re using Jamil Hussein to make the useless point that the media makes mistakes from time to time, or you’re trying to make the point that Iraq isn’t the bloody nightmare that AP (via Jamil Husseins) is making it out to be. In which case, you’re dead wrong, … malkin’s security precautions being evidence in that case. bush II’s need for 20,000 more troops to “restore order” being more evidence.
It is a non-story. You have neither credibility, nor logic, on your side here.
You want me to stay on point? Ardonlino’s interview only confirmed that Iraq is a bloody mess. Now, you could take the perspective of that particular Fallujah policeman [who naturally hates the people who attacked him and killed his family] about what the overall picture is, and Ardonlino’s spin on what he says, … but for a number of reasons (credibility, accuracy, etc.,) I’m not going to spend much time wallowing in deluded, pro-invasion filth.
Which was what Malkin’s account of her trip was, since you brought her up as well.
good night and good luck.
