  1. … Hitler was a member of the communist party …
    No, he wasn’t.

exile shows us that Hitler had a least one good point.

  2. At first I was kind of annoyed to see that Dion was a French citizen. But then I heard that he was a French citizen because his mother is from France. I don’t like him and wouldn’t vote for him, but I don’t think this should be an issue in Canada. I was born in England and my family came to Canada when I was three. Should this preclude me from high office? Id didn’t preclude me from almost twenty years service in the army. Should it preclude my two sons, who could get british passports (or EU or whatever it is now) because I was born in England. My wife could apply for german citizenship because her parents are German. She was born in Canada and has lived here all her life. Would you not allow her into elected office? After some thinking about this issue, I don’t think this is fair to Dion. If he had lived in France all his life, then come to Canada as an adult and then become PM, it might be different, but I think this is a non-issue.

Heh. That’s a clever reply. (Usually, here, it’s just some version of “you’re stupid”.)

  4. Adolf’s a socialist like Castro, Trudeau, and Dion.
When France votes “al oui!” for Sharia Law in about 7 years does that change DoubleDion’s religion and or passport status?

  5. “The government members in this House behave as if they were reading from a textbook written by Mr. Goebbels when he was preparing for power in Germany,” Graham said.
    “It’s disagraceful. . . It’s dishonourable. . .”
Conservatives have a very thin skin. This is a far cry from calling someone a Nazi.

  6. Takes one to know one, eh?
Actually, Goebbels’s essay on propaganda, written in 1927 (if memory serves) is quite interesting.
Basically you pick catch phrases such as, ummm, ‘Canadian values’, ‘multiculturalism’, ‘national daycare program’, etc and keep repeating them as often as possible until people believe them.
I guess Graham and his cohorts are familiar with the technique which is why it came to mind during the heat of debate in the Commons about their snippy little leader.
Bill is sounding a bit hysterical, somebody should slap him a couple of times.

Perhaps if we kept saying’aging Pedophile’ the Libs would get the message.

Thanks for the laugh. Reminds me of the movie “The Jerk” … Steve Martin completely out of the beat. It was like you didn’t read the thread … haha.
If Kate doesn’t object, please continue sharing your comic gems with us.

  8. ok4ua, could you please enlighten us on what “your” definition of fascist is as opposed to the one the rest of the world has been using all these years? Ummm, yeah, thanks.

  9. umm, ural, let’s see…from the link:
*The Conservatives reacted with indignation to the comparison with Nazis.
“I think that is reprehensible,” said Tory House leader Rob Nicholson.*
Followed by a number of posts that are all over the map: Trudeau, nazism, communism, Islam, liberals, etc.
I know what thread I’m on. Perhaps YOU should read the thread before firing off your ever so witty retorts and shooting yourself in the foot.

  10. lberia (one who idolizes a communist murderer…google “L Beria Russia” for info) suggests that Conservatives are thin-skinned.
That’s rich! And just a few weeks after the “Belindog” non-issue that smoldered in the MSM. Who’s thin-skinned?

  11. For many years all cdns were british subjects first. Something to do with the commonwealth. All those born in a commonwealth nation were british subjects and now that problem has come home to roost, with all those eastern countries eligible for british citizenship. More countries have to be kicked out to solve the problems. Figi is no longer a member, so, does that invalidate all figians right to citizenship that are already here. Look at your census form. We have been harassed for years because we always answer Canadian, when asked ethnic origin. We have many people in Canada who think they are cdn until they apply for a passport and find out they aren’t. Most of them come here as babies with their mothers who were war brides. That is why so many have british passports, they can’t get a cdn one. Hope Tony Blairs new proposal gets passing marks. We need the same in Canada.

  12. Ok4ua. Thanks for your enlightened input. Thanks for proving there is a constitutional right for 5% of Canadians to be stupid idiots.

  13. Do you even know what a facist is? I don’t think you do and that’s the problem w/37% who vote tory.

  14. Lets see…. hmmmmm…oh yeah
Hitler was the leader of the “German Workers SOCIALIST Party”
…and like I have said before socialism is just COMMUNISM in a pretty package!!

  15. The genneral rule of tyrants is to disarm the populence so they can be easly rounded up and put in concentration camps just like what ADOLPH HITLER and VLADIMER LENIN did

  16. In 1929 the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, approximately 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915-1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, 13 million Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, the mentally ill, and others, who were unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million “educated” people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
That places total victims who lost their lives because of gun control at approximately 56 million in the last century. Since we should learn from the mistakes of history, the next time someone talks in favor of gun control, find out which group of citizens they wish to have exterminated.

  17. Stephane Dion, rightfully in my opinion, has condemned those individuals who attacked the Rae’s Semitism. We will see if his words are matched by the action of outing and disciplining the perpetrators. BTW, when will he condemn Bill Graham’s hateful remarks about Conservatives, and discipline him? I’m not holding my breath.
