    The Media has been an ass for centuries.
    Everybody knows the Media is an ass.
    Before the Internet and blogs it was virtualy impossible to call their bs.
    Kate got in on the ground floor of the Media Audit Business.
    sda has a huge, steady, continual supply of auditing to do. Lots of business for years to come.
    Sheila Fraser’s government clean-up task, as huge and important as it is, is nothing compared to Kate’s. And that is no stretch. A propaganda style of gov’t can suppress democracy for 4 years, the media can do it for decades.
    Othe sites may be bigger, like the cbc, but they only have the flakes and basket weaver crowd. And a $billion subsidy.
    sda is concerned with the important news stories of the day. Integrity of gov’t, crime prevention, security of citizens, crooked politicians, freedom for the industrious type of endeavors, reward success not failure, priorize the news such as building infastructure – not weaving baskets, …
    Pointing out media bias, as; when the Libs are in a shakey-flakey minority situation – oh heavens forbid blah blah citizens don’t want another election. When the opposition flake Dion arrives by mistake and even though gov’t is popular,.. oh ya, the people are itching for an election.

    Western Canada is full of great people, and you provide an essential outlet for deconstructing mis-information provided by corporate media.
    I was quite proud of you for your work on the Danish cartoons, the Hizbullah occupation of South Lebanon (and especially the Bombed-out ambulance BS, “Green Helmet Man” as well as other terror propoganda the MSM seems to swallow so quickly, why oh why?) and the soon-to-be-forgotten scandals of the previous federal government (may their shame be eternal).
    Without sites like SDA and Western Standard, how do Westerners even know that there are many like-minded folks out there?
    I visit SDA because you promote common sense and freedom over nanny-state liberalism and Political Correctness.
    I even think you might have convinced Steven Harper to drop funding for SOW. Maybe?

  33. Howard Dean was the first to use the net during a campaign with great results, (until the scream) in 2004. Our last election say cdns starting to use blogs. I predict that the liberals will be very surprised, along with the msm in the coming election. Within minutes of a stmt, the blogs (SDA) will have the truth, to be spread far and wide in Canada. Hey Dion was mad in ?period. Before long his true colors will show. Harper got in a hit with his comment re firing people without due process aka liberals and Dingwall, and huge payouts as a result. I hope the RCMP head will get even with all the bashing and turn his men loose on all the liberal scandal investigations. Remember the saying, be careful what you wish for. I am lol at the supposed outrage of the liberals, re Arar. I still think he is a terrorist, and don’t believe a word he or the liberals say about him. Remember, it was Chretain who personally petitioned for Khadars release a few years ago, a terrorist sheik was at their convention, so in my mind liberals support terrorists.

    I might be wrong,but didn’t Chretien put heat on Pakistan to release someone,can’t remember the name,and when that person was released he ended up killing many in a terrorist attack.
    Maybe some of the others on here remember the name.

Another Trudeau running and having his name in the news will get Trudeau haters out to vote, and remind us all of his comments-fuddle duddle, why should I sell your wheat, the finger to western cdns, and most of all the NEP, with libs talking about a carbon tax on Albertas oil industry. Tomorrows vote on SSM will be telling, will he allow libs a free vote or be a dictator. Just wait for Chirac to visit Canada, and tell us how to control carbques, burnings, rioting etc.

  43. Paulstuff: We are talking about the same person, Khdar. He was killed, and his son injured. Remember the big tado when the mother and son returned to Canada in a wheelchair. One son is in Gitmo, the other tried to get a passport to travel to the US but was denied. Osama was at the daughters wedding, and they lived in his compound for year. Mother took her boy back to afgan or somewhere, because she didn’t want them to turn out to be gay. Terrorists great, gay, no way. That was all in a cbc TV documentary. Now we have a potential pm who is a citizen of france, and that country is quickly turning in a muslim state.
