At a moment in time when government pollsters inform us that “Canadians believe U.S. President George W. Bush is almost as great a threat to our national security as Osama bin Laden”, and Time magazine has chilling accounts of Gitmo puppet theatre “torture” of the 20th hijacker, this pictorial essay is timely. Inspired by this quote of well-known US lefty blogger, Markos Moulitsas ‘Kos’ Zunigas;
“The torture that was so bad under Saddam, is equally bad under U.S. command. And Dick Durbin had the balls to say it so on the Senate floor.”

The biggest threat to Canadian security is our own government! All of those who assist in propping it up will be found equally guilty.
I’m hoping if I say it often enought that people will clue in eventually… the problem we face is the OWNERS OF THE MEDIA.
Find out who they are and OUT THEM!
Fighting with an opponent that jabs from the darkness and does not have to justify what they are saying is fruitless.
Go to the source and make a knock-out blow.
I wonder if Devil’s Lake would have been an issue (i.e. even considered an option by ND and the US) had our relations been on a better footing…
Lets not forget the “Golden Rule” please.
If Senator Whatsisname really believes with all his heart that the US is really engaged in Nazi-style atrocities, why doesn’t he a) resign his senate seat in protest and b) round up his family, money and stuff and leave what is obviously a nation on the verge of fascist takeover.
But of course, the Senator doesn’t really believe what he says, so he stays put. But continues to mouth off to get free publicity.
So either way, he is an unprincipled stooge.
Pathetic.
Anyone else catch Landslide Annie during question period today? While answering a question about border security she inadvertently said “our American allies” but then quickly backtracked and stammered out “American neighbours” instead. Kind of says it all doesn’t it? We have a Deputy PM that doesn’t want to admit that the Americans are our allies.
I agree completely with Amnesty International – no human should have to be forced even in a Gulag to listen to Christina Aguilera – this is why we all signed the Geneva Convention.
I suggest we stop this Imperialist interrogation of these freedom fighters and treat them in a more culturally appropriate fashion . To expose them to these Western excesses is pure evil and I think we should model the camps upon Middle Eastern examples to ensure necessary multicultural tolerance – wood chipper anyone?
CBC radio had a nice little pile of rot about how what a travisty it was Saddam Hussien was in jail. A SHAMnesty International collaboration, of course. The exact same “person” who called GIMTO a “gulag”. How is garbage sentiment like this more popular than neo-nazism? And of course let’s not forget about another HUGE beeach. Evil Anne. Tim beat me to the punch. I knew a new low would come and here it is. I’ve had it. That’s it. I am so sick and tired of this CRAP. When is enough enough. Ya real real FUNNY, disregarding our ALLIES. Ya know… the country that has IMMENSLY HELPED bless us with a PEACE no other civilization has ever imagined. We ALL live under the protective umbrella the Pentagon provides, and cry about Rummy. We consume not just products, but massive amounts of GLORIOUS AMERICAN CULTURE(seen a good movie lately?), yet there are people in Canada actually stupid enough to hate them for it. (Yes this is you CRTC. Sirius has already made cbc radio a cricket chirping. Did you actually think Canadians were going to wait for YOUR ok?)
Anti-americans are losers. Period. That is why they are AT GITMO. Anyone that knows they are anti-American and does not think they are GIANT tools are in serious self-denial or delusional.
anne, what kind of ignorance is this. Who the hell do you stand for anyway. Albertans? (decent)Canadians? You are the worst. The Americans are not the CPC. They are our ALLIES if you like it or not you evil banshee. They always will be.
“discussions with our American allie-neighbors-hahahah” This is what is representing us.
Let Jasper Av burn to the ground.
Easy there, good sir Knight. I happen to live on Jasper Avenue. If you want to burn something to the ground how about West Edm. Mall?
It’s a RAGING figure of (free)speech.
anti-Americanism has permeated, immersed, and INFECTED, like an evil MUSHROOM into the liebral party. And indeed much of Canada itself(thank you cbc). This disease is what caused anne’s odd, depraved slip-of-the-tounge. It was almost like a REVERSE slip-of-the-tounge, as what she said in the first place would have been admirable. If she wasn’t so stupid.
p.s c.parish is not nearly as anti-American as she is anti-Semetic.
KnightOGMIM [8:51pm] People stupid enough to hate the USA in a general sense. Yes, the same Americans who suffer our kicks and spits, yet keep us under their protective unbrella.
Americans have always been generous to us in many ways. There are some bumps and flaws to protest, but anyone who thinks for ten seconds can not logically fault the whole USA.
Just as you can not completely fault Knight, except for the want of a shorter name. 73s TG
Solution for Gitmo: Gather all the intelligence from each prisoner, attach a ball and chain around their ankles and then let them sink to the bottom of the Gulf. The prisoners at Gitmo don’t deserve to have a Koran, to eat better than US soldiers, or to be let out to pray 5 times a day (by the way, why hasn’t the ACLU complained that the prisoners have a Koran and are allowed to express their beliefs?). The US even built the prison so it faces Mecca in the East. Nevermind this, they are the “Great Satan.” If Gitmo was in Canada they would also beable to get a greencard, then citizenship, then vote for the Liberals or the NDP.
