  1. Soon to be featured on CBC, no doubt. They’re the leaders in honest reporting on Portland and Seattle.

  2. Progs voted for this mayhem and civilizational collapse. Let them wallow in their own filth. Reap what you sow losers.

What we need is a well-produced documentary to expose all this 2020 mayhem in all these Dem cities – the rioting, the looting, the destruction, the stand-down orders, the increase in crime and death, the businesses closed, jobs lost, the exodus of people, and all the other aftermath crap. Then somehow force-feed it down the country’s throat and tell them this is America’s future, this is the end-game, if you continue to support the Democrat agenda.

    1. Well that’s the thing. Those who have the means to pull up stakes leave and do…but when they move to less oppressive locales they spread their socialist garbage in those places starting at the local level and upwards.
People are under the false impression they chuck their progressive ideology idiocies in the garbage on their way out. They don’t.
You can trace the Marxist migration route from California right on up to Oregon and Washington State.

      1. The same thing can be said about certain parts of Canada.

A lot of Vancouverites have moved to NE B. C. to get out of that rat’s nest but they never left their fruitloopery behind. We moved there for the work, while they came for the “lifestyle”, which includes a politically pristine region which they can contaminate with their ideology.

        1. You can also trace Marxist migration to Edmonton and Calgary. A lot of hard working and freedom loving types have come to Alberta as well, but too few of them have settled in the big centres. Not that I can blame them.

    2. “Progs voted for this mayhem and civilizational collapse.”
Considering the election fraud we just witnesses I’m not so sure.

  3. Quote of the week – “An idea doesn’t fire bullets”

Wouldn’t it be great if a Republican came to power in Oregon as a result of this chaos? Sorry, I must have had something too fermented for lunch.

BTW I heard CBC Calgary interview an Antifa member. He seemed pretty real. Not just an idea.

    1. Similar to some fine quotes in the movie ” V for Vendetta ”
      ” Ideas are bulletproof “.
” People should not be afraid of their governments, governments SHOULD be afraid of their people “.

    1. Yup. And this has been going on for about 50 years, or was the oil “shortage” of the early 1970s for real?

  4. Target enabling corruption… The Fire/ looting/ liability insurance industry should be prevented from paying off anything in Democrat States and Cities that fail to protect business & private property .. The Insurance Industry is guilty of RICO if they pay-out knowing the damage was deliberate …..Zero Insurance in sick cities will get results because law suits against the City & officials would be the only way.

    JMHO

  5. I think this idea of west coast refugees spreading their leftist viewpoints is a bit of a crock, personally — there are lots of homegrown leftists in all parts of the interior west, have been for decades, and it is those people who anchor the political culture of those towns and rural areas, not newcomers from the coast, in fact maybe they left to get away from an ideological atmosphere they didn’t want to share.

There may be counter-examples but in my experience, the left grows from within schools and social organizations and the roots of the progressive ideology are long-term and can be traced back a long way.

Just saying, because it would not surprise me if some people just assumed the leftism was coming in from the outside and just assumed it was people they knew had moved in from the coast. We did that ourselves, a lot of people never once asked us our opinions about anything and made assumptions. They also like to invent all sorts of scapegoating narratives such as an invasion of rats (from their own natural environment, driven into towns by clear cutting and other practices) came with the urban people, in fact, one person accused us of packing them in with our luggage.

It rather reminds me of the social atmosphere in Nazi Germany and places they easily conquered in the war. In this crazy Covid world, people are just inventing all sorts of horrible stories about outsiders, and statistically it makes me laugh, if you are 1% likely to catch Covid from any random stranger, then what difference would it make if the random stranger was from across the road or across the continent? But some people are convinced they should stay isolated from everyone and that the further away somebody lives, the more likely they could arrive in your town with Covid. It defies all logic and yet many believe it quite openly (we have to keep strangers out of our town). It’s the first step in social collapse, the term “Balkanization” has a meaning based on this sort of thinking.

  6. I am a conservative living on the outskirts of Portland. In my neighborhood we haven’t had any protesters since the third night in March when a group came up the street vandalizing cars and houses and met our welcoming committee. We had them in a crossfire with hunting rifles and shotguns and we told them to get the f%&k out. It’s been peaceful ever since. No shots fired, we just made it clear it would have severe consequences to continue, so it stopped.

All it takes is keeping these people in jail. The abject failure of local government is the reason the riots continue. The DA has chosen to not prosecute 900 out of the 1000 people arrested so far. We call him the “Co-murderer” as he let the killer off who then went out and shot the counter protester. He has chosen not prosecute arson cases, assault, sexual assault, armed intimidation of the press, vandalism, car jacking, calling in false 911 events, felons in possession of guns, knives, and swords. The only saving grace has been the feds picking up some of the released scumbags for things like conspiracy, committing terrorist acts, possession of explosive materials, assaulting federal and state officers, using vehicles as weapons, arson, attempted murder, and murder.

Don’t let this happen in your city. Hold your local officials accountable and speak up!

  7. Psychopaths leading savages, while the majority of the population are cowering children that will believe any fancy story. They all deserve the destruction they’ve invited.
