35 Replies to “That’s Because They Hate You”

  1. Evan Sayet in How Modern Liberals Think tells a story that I’ve always remembered. Canadian Liberals and progressives appear to be exactly the same – they aren’t kidding when they say they hate conservatives (and libertarians). I think that intense hatred explains the callousness and cruel way Alberta is treated in Canada. To Liberals and progressives Alberta has become a symbol of all things conservative, so they’ll destroy the livelihoods of a 100,000+ blue collar energy workers and their families with absolutely zero guilt or concern.

    Sayet:

I tell a story. It’s not a true story, but it helps crystallize my thinking that brought me to become a conservative. I say: Imagine being in a restaurant with an old friend, and you’re catching up, and suddenly he blurts out, “I hate my wife.” You chuckle to yourself because he says it every time you’re together, and you know he doesn’t hate his wife; they’ve been together for 35 years. He loves his daughters, and they’re just like her. No, he doesn’t hate his wife.

So you’re having dinner, and you look out the window and spot his wife, and she’s being beaten up right outside the restaurant. You grab your friend and say, “Come on, let’s help her. Let’s help your wife,” and he says, “Nah, I’m sure she deserves it.” At that moment, it dawns on you: He really does hate his wife.

  2. I’m a little conflicted on the”look in the mirror” comment.

He may see his father looking back at him, and the next thing you know we’ll be singing the Bayamesa, reading Trabajadores and begging American tourists for toilet paper.

  3. Prinz Dummkopf isn’t blind to his divisive politics–he’s fully aware of them.

He, like his father, sees anyone who doesn’t want to be deprived of their freedom and who doesn’t want a boot stamping on his face forever as an idiotic, ungrateful child who needs to be taught a lesson they’ll never forget.

    1. Well of course. They should WANT a boot stamping on their face forever, because it’s on the foot of somebody so much smarter, wiser, more noble and more concerned for their welfare than they are themselves – so WHY DON’T they? – Just proves they’re deplorables who deserve that treatment anyways.

This so perfectly illustrates why “Today’s Youth” want Socialism – “Oh, we’re so much SMARTER than all the old fuddy-duddies who run the world today – we’ll bring in Socialism, and then WE’LL LEAD IT!” But never having read history, they haven’t clued-in that smart people are no match for cunning people; no they won’t lead Socialism, they’ll be trampled by it. And not having read history, they’ve never thought about:

      1) what socialist regimes do to intellectuals, and

      2) what socialist regimes do to useful idiots once they’re no longer useful.

  4. > “I wonder how, or if, I could have made sure we were pulling Canadians together?”

Those sound like the words of someone who sees himself at the end of his premiership. It may or may not be an unconscious admission, but either way, if he really thought he was going to continue in his job, he would be speaking in present or future tense, not past tense.

    1. A phoney to the end. If he was concerned about unifying the country why could he spare no time to greet the Alberta truckers. I am not from Alberta but the snub confirmed for me their disregard for half of the country. How is it he had absolutely nothing to say to the Alberta truckers? Speaks volumes.

  5. “Look in a mirror. It couldn’t hurt.”

Are you kidding me? That’s the little tit’s biggest problem. He can’t stay away from mirrors. Otherwise, a good column.

  6. “That’s not who we are” … Obama was fond of saying, as a rebuke to Americans actually being EXACTLY the opposite of what Obama wanted. Sorry sport … but that IS who we are. Stop lying.

  7. Any article that is written as if Trudeau has a thought behind those vacant eyes only serves to vailidate the idea that he is viable as a leader and deserves to be in office.

If “journalists” could stop that pretense it would be a great start.

  8. That article, while accurately critical of the Spawn’s behavior, comes off as moral equivocating. Aside from being a “warmist”, an astute observer would have seen all of those traits in the Spawn well before he became PM.

    1. John, the turd’s ejection of 2 MPs from caucus was the sign as to what the fool really was, butt his hair saved the day in 2015

  9. The Liberal Party of Canada, for as long as I can remember (back to the 90s), has always had trouble distinguishing what’s good for itself and what’s good for Canada. They almost always fall into their belief that THEY are Canada, and what they want for themselves is automatically what’s best for Canada, and how dare you disagree with them, don’t you know that to do so is unCanadian?

The arrogance of that party knows no bounds and was not humbled one bit by their years in opposition. If anything, under dear Spawn, it’s enlarged itself in response to Dear Leader’s narcissism. What’s good for Trudeau is what’s good for Liberals is what’s good for Canada, don’t you know.

    Makes one want to vomit.

    1. An NDP Manitoba MLA once said something along the line of that because they are the government, they are smarter than the rest of us.

    2. But then, all political parties conflate their own partisan interests with the national interest.

That’s what parties do. It’s why they run for office in the first place.

  10. When Blackie opens his cake hole he can’t help but criticize everyone who doesn’t agree with him. He’s no different than that POS, Hillary. In fact he and Buttshole would be calling conservatives Deplorables if it hadn’t backfired on the bitch. So they settled on just using racist, Nazi, misogynist, fascist and the like.

    1. Wrong Buddy. Hillary is one of the most cunning thieves ever to inhabit the White House. Terdo the 2 doesn’t have the political acumen to know that you cannot be seen to fire your attorney general when she refuses to obstruct justice for you. Daddy’s ambition; mommy’s brains.

      1. I was only referring to his hatred/labelling of anyone who disagrees. I took a dump this morning that could beat Blackie in a game of chess.

  11. // I think that intense hatred explains the callousness and cruel way Alberta is treated in Canada. //

    Poor Alberta.
Highest provincial GDP per capita [and Saskatchewan is next]
    Lowest income tax rates.
    No Sales tax.
    &
Politicians that, when they’re not bragging, they’re whining. [and that includes the previous government]

I see that the latest attempt by the Conservatives to get Canadians to support them
is to claim that the “Liberal/New Democrat Coalition” is going to raise the GDP.
NO party has suggested that & they all say that Scheer is “making things up”.
    Which is their MO.

If the polls are correct, both the Conservative & Liberal parties are losing support in these late stages.
The same as in other western countries.
In Canada not so much as elsewhere [yet] and, unlike the U.S. we have other choices than celebrities.
And our equivalent of Trump is at the 2-3 % level.

    1. // claim that the “Liberal/New Democrat Coalition” is going to raise the GDP. //
      Ahem. That’s “GST”
And, taking the opportunity, more Scheer nonsense:
      – Liberals will make hard drugs legal
      – Liberals will tax your home sale at 50%

    2. dizzy, and what is wrong with being successful? And being successful does not give the feds a right to rob them

and the turd raised taxes effectively on his way in the last time, and will do it again just so he can keep spending like a drunken sailor

it’s not the politicians that is the problem, it’s dimwitted fools like you that is the problem. Have you ever had to make a pay roll, orm secure a loan to start a business??????

  12. Liberals who still support Trudeau quite likely share his values, ethics and morals. And, incredibly, they’re equally as blind.

  13. The Progressive Marxists all TAX and Spend…When they say that they need to identify new revenue Streams, that just means that what ever they tax will come from the working class…..The Middle Class pays for these lizards….

Marxists are fraud artists who jack up Civil service numbers for flat-liners (those that can’t qualify for real Jobs) and lead Unions into political agendas… Unions are actually straight capitalist (they get their Members the BEST Contract) , the mix is weird… All those fat Union leaders with Russian connections…

Thank you for your correspondence following the death of Fidel Castro.

With Fidel Castro’s passing, my thoughts and prayers are with the people of Cuba, who continue to endure his long and oppressive regime, even after his death. Under his rule, thousands were impoverished, thousands were imprisoned and executed, and free speech, thought and assembly were curtailed and banned. All this to live up to Fidel Castro’s version of “socialism.”

Canadians were shocked and appalled by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s inappropriate statement regarding Fidel Castro’s passing. On their behalf, Prime Minister Trudeau described Fidel Castro as a remarkable leader. I have repeatedly asked Prime Minister Trudeau what he was thinking when he eulogized one of the world’s worst dictators. Distressingly, he continues to stand by his statement.

Canada and the Cuban people have had a long and warm friendship over many years. With the passing of Fidel Castro, I know Canadians join me in wishing for brighter days ahead for the people of Cuba. My hope is that Cubans may live in freedom and in a country where democracy, human rights and the rule of law are enshrined.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to write.

    Yours truly,

The Hon. Rona Ambrose, P.C., M.P.
    Leader of the Official Opposition

Subject: RE: Statement on Fidel Castro

    Dear Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau

You do not speak for me, in your offer of condolences and ‘deep and lasting affection for “el Commandante”’.

With your rash and unmeasured words you have unleashed heaps of scorn and mockery:

    https://twitter.com/search?q=trudeaueulogy

In the same vein one could be writing eulogies for Timur:

Tamerlane while ‘controversial’ will be missed for his contributions to ‘urban renewal’, as will his efforts at skull pyramid art.

I suggest you take some time to reflect on the outright ahistorical paean to what can only be described as brutal dictator.

This renders your same day released statement on the Holodomor a black farce.

I am sorry to inform you but your statements on Castro and the Holodomor on the same day are MONUMENTALLY STUPID and in direct contradiction
to each other. The victims of communism aren’t just something you can gloss over; despite your love and admiration for basic dictatorship.

I am embarrassed to have you as my Prime Minister.
If this reflects the level of your historical governmental awareness, you should be fired.

    Cheers

    …………………………

The Prime Doofus should never have been elected to high office.
The man’s blatherings were idiotic before being elected, are idiotic in office, and will likely be idiotic in the future when the voters curb the Al Jolson of modern day politics!

    Cheers

    1. One way or the other, Justin was standing up for his papa in his eulogy for “uncle” Fidel.

That and big, very very big, Canadian flags are about all the Liberals really need to do well in any election.

Their mob loves that flag, and socialism.

I tend to despise both of them about equally.

  15. Want to unite the country? Quite simple actually.
Institute a BUY CANADIAN policy, especially for natural resources.
When we care about the other’s well being and advancement, only then can we grow together.

    1. John, the turd’s ejection of 2 MPs from caucus was the sign as to what the fool really was, butt his hair saved the day in 2015

  16. “I wonder how, or if, I could have made sure we were pulling Canadians together?”

Maybe, just maybe, and I know this is a stretch but the constant harping about “Diversity is our strength.” could be one of the reasons we are now so divided that it is finally occurring to Trudeau that diversity does not unite a country.

  17. And despite all that is said and factual, on Monday we face the re-election of a lesser Liberal government, propped up by their socialist cousins, to continue and/or accelerate the previous policies of taxing and borrowing their way prosperity(?). A majority of Canadians are clearly in favour of policies to continue this, falsely believing that others will pay more taxes, others will suffer the consequences, and that they will benefit from same. Unfortunately this never works out, and no one ever learns.
So, let’s get this party started, get those deficits over $50 Billion annually to appease the statists and socialists that insist on “free shit for everybody except the evil rich”. This country might as well get to the debt wall as soon as it can. After all, those who voted for these economic idiots, will be saddled with the same debts. When this country’s made in Canada recession hits, its gonna be ugly, and Groper will already be tapped out on borrowing. The millenials need to feel that financial pain, they’ve grown up without a real recession in their lives. The rest if us have been through it, whether in the early 80s, the 70s hyper inflation, or the 90s downturn in BC. EIther way, another recession will happen, the longer it takes to come, the worse it will be.
A special shout out to the voters of Morontariowe, for being especially stupid and schizophrenic, when will they learn, and retain the fact that Liberals are NOT their friends!

  18. Any politician who whines because he or she cannot achieve 100% support is either an idiot, or a megalomaniac.

Max had the right idea, he went into the debate and said in very civil tones, look, we are different, and this is what we believe, take it or leave it.

The Canadian people, not being overly bright, will no doubt leave it, and rush to the free goodies or the insane noble cause of riding bicycles to lower the earth’s temperature.

But hats off to Max Bernier for a principled stand. You never know when that sort of thing might resonate with the voters, if we keep having elections to let’s say 10 million years from now, it could happen.
