If I was a betting man, I’d have a few bucks down on SNL opening the show tomorrow night with some parody of the CNBC debate. It will be interesting, given that SNL is also NBC, to see how they deal with this. Sorry Ken this is not true. Yes the Law and Justice party took majority they are socially conservative, economically centrist at best, think Mike Huckabee think Red Tories and you will not be that far off. Previously the majority was the Civic Platform, they are now the largest opposition party, they are socially liberal economically center left, think Canadian Libranos, think Dhimicrats. So the change is generally an improvement but far from elimination of libtards from the parliament. There are three other parties in the parliament (it is a very flawed proportional representation system) two of which are generally left. The president elected in separate election few months ago is also from Law and Justice and he unseated the incumbent from Civic Platform. Overall there is shift towards conservative social values (especially among the younger segments of the population, yes!) and a moderate shift towards lesser involvement of state in economic affairs.
