Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Courage to follow the truth is contagious, because it sets us free.
She’s spot on. Berkley was ground zero during the sixties with respect to sit ins and all round U.S. campus shenanigans all in the name of “free speech”. What many don’t know is that students at the time were useful idiots for their professors who egged them on only because they were pissy about having to take an anti communist oath among other things before being hired.
Berkley decided to prohibit all political activism, right or left on campus in an effort to tamp down the unrest but that only threw gas on the fire.
The students are now the professors and are corrupting another generation – and so it goes.

I’m an Ontario teacher opposed to CRT, and I have written about it here.
I’d really appreciate your help sharing this piece, on Twitter but especially in the real world.

Intimidation Masquerading As Virtue Is Chilling Free Speech
An Ontario Teacher Under Investigation Speaks Out

Had to turn her off. Why did she go/stay to berkley?
Author and social critic H. L. Mencken was asked why he lived in the USA if he disliked the culture so much? He replied, “Why do men go to zoos?”
She did what I did to survive at UC Berkeley as a conservative. You keep your mouth shut and nod a lot. I also told people that I just wasn’t “political”. But those were the glory days of the mid 1970’s … when we were blasting Boston’s “More than a Feeling” from the Fraternity roof deck. And we were still basking in the afterglow of The Free Speech Agitation. When political Agitation was actually for Positive Change … Real Change … not FRAUDULENT nonsense such as eliminating fossil fuels.
I couldn’t get away with that today … because “silence is violence”. Think about that. Is there anything more Fascist-Group Think than that? If you remain silent and neutral … you’re vilified and torn to pieces. What is more soul-crushing and fascistic than that? That you must either agree or “out” yourself. And by “outing” yourself against the narrative … your professors will punish you, and your friends turn to enemies. This woman remained silent during her Berkeley years. Smart. She got her degree from a formerly GREAT Public University that has slowly, err rapidly slid into Fascistic leftist depravity.
It’s great that she can speak out now from her “fashion-forward” conservative platform … nothing says “conservative” quite like ‘The Real Singles of Orange County’ … but I have had no such luxury here in the belly of the Bay Area Beast. I have been self-employed since 1990 … and if I had “boldly proclaimed my conservatism” from that time forward … you could erase 75% of my total earnings over that time. I still nod a lot … like the time when a large $$$ client of mine simply WENT OFF on Trump’s election and all the stupid voters in America. No … I didn’t have the balls to tell them I was one of those voters. And this practicing Catholic couple were someone I expected to be at least slightly conservative! Not here in the Bay Area. You DO know that Google has NO … ZERO … conservatives working for them … right? Same with all the FANG’s and lesser Tech Corps.
True story – The year 2001
My daughter was going to a top ten college as her SAT scores were in the 99th percentile and top of her class. Which one? She looked in the East and I took her to the Big 4 in CA: Stanford, USC, UCLA and Berkeley.
The visits/tours lasted 2 to 4 hours except Berkeley. The first dozen people we saw there were from a freak show. Hair colors you never dreamed of, tattoos everywhere and maybe 10 pieces of metal in various parts of their heads. The tour guide was stoned and although American, couldn’t put a coherent sentence together.
UCLA was no better. A ‘brother’ showed us around and pointed out everywhere on campus you could smoke dope without getting hassled and where to play pool. Any question about libraries, studying, courses, profs were buried in a nanosecond.
USC and Stanford were great. She was accepted at USC , waitlisted at Stanford and in the end went to
the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Me, got waitlisted at Stanford and went to Harvard,
We both still would have preferred Stanford. If you are ever in the Bay Area, skip the usual sightseeing and take in Stanford. It’s
simply beautiful.
How we went to Ivy League Universities and turned out level headed is a miracle.
He is risen, Happy Easter
The Farm is truly beautiful … still. I am supposed to loathe the Red … but this UC Alum doesn’t really. On my side of the Bay, Bezerkeley is a freak show. My daughter was accepted to both UC Berkeley and UCLA … she just humored me by applying to UC Berkeley … as there was no way in hell she would have subjected herself to the bizarro-world of Berkeley. I don’t blame her … and she loved UCLA despite the Bruin Walk freak show of every woke leftist cause on the planet.
Learning not permitted here.
The liberal groupthink pandemic is far more debilitating than Covid.
I hereby dispel the myth that the free speech movement was invented by Berkeley students in the 60s. Perhaps you’ve heard of the French Elightenment, the Scottish Enlightenment, John Stewart Mill, the Bill of Rights to the US Constitution.
Free speech pre-dates the 60s by over 150 years. The 60s Radicals flatter themselves with this BS.
