  1. Oh yes the so called pathetic echo chamber media pimples will tell everyone nothing to see here, he will fizzle, he is blah blah blah, but over here we have Hillary, she knows how to govern. The tables are turning and the hyenas can’t stand it. Donald spent 4 minutes at his rally in Mississippi trying to get the CNN camera man to pan the huge crowd, the useless idiot wouldn’t.

  2. I hope the mediots continue their Trump bashing strategy, after all, its working SO well.
    LOL
    Trump, Crazy like a Fox

  3. Over Christmas dinner my liberal sister-in-law’s head almost exploded when I suggested that Donald was saying all the right things. Pretty funny.

  4. My liberal brother-in-law tried to instigate using Trump at the dinner table at both Xmas AND Thanksgiving. It was his house so I guess he had the right. No one took the bait as no one wanted to ruin my sister’s hard efforts for both holidays. He’s a big fan of the Kennedys. I mentioned Mary Jo Kopechne one time a couple years back. He was not pleased.

  5. Trump’s success has the same basis as Trudeau’s. There is a underlying disquiet by the ‘silent majority’ who feel less secure in their finances and prospects. To some extent these expectations are unrealistic but never the less they influence behavior.
In essence politicos right or left make points by making promises to whatever constituency is at hand. They can get away with unrealistic promises by fluff or by simply controlling the discourse and thereby ‘changing’ the subject.
Since no political party truly believe in balanced budgets anymore the return to ‘realistic and accountable’ government will not happen until some kind of fiscal crisis which will force frank discussions. I am not optimistic.

  6. Your BIL will be insufferable when the new pro-Ted movie comes out. Liberals never stop using the arts to rewrite history.

  7. Reading some of the comments on that article was quite enlightening. The majority being progressives who may end up being gob smacked when he wins the GOP nomination and goes about the Highly required task of demolishing HildeBeast.
As your first article opined Kate, it is the suffocating effect of Political Correctness that has destroyed Europe and is now wielding its enormous power in both Canada and the United States. It is a full on Attack against Free Speech.
That Trump is an opportunist is not surprising, one needs that kind of attitude in the high stakes game of Office tower development in New York and elsewhere…but he speaks to Americans Fear: Fear of creeping Sharia, Fear of open borders among other things…and it that, he speaks to an America which to me, has lost its way…becoming a lot like the CBC of all things. Pro OBAMA and virulently Multi Cult, Politically Correct, the Science is Settled blah blah blah etc.
We could use someone up here with that kind of visibility / vigour….
As we are in fact, in an identical dory as the US.

  8. If his opposition (In both parties) do not even understand the Trump
phenomenon, they can never combat it. It is easy enough to figure
it out. American is really, really pissed off! We are pissed at
the Democrats and the establishment Republicans. We are sick of
corruption, political correctness, loudmouth SJW’s, lesbian and
homosexual pressure groups, whiny minorities, tree-huggers,
gun grabbers, and a president who is more interested in not
offending terrorist savages than he is in killing them. This
    is just a partial list!
Trump is the only candidate with the testicular fortitude to
say all of things we are all thinking.

  9. The PC shills are a necessary reaction when social engineering gains need to be defended… It is a settled social norm, Settled Science, debate over! Refuse to re-argue the point…Bigot, Racist… ETC.
It is true that it takes only 12% of public opinion to successfully drive an agenda if the 12% are a cohesive committed group that fights without regard to common decency. The other 88% of society don’t fight back because the little issues don’t seem important. What the PC shills don’t want is for the 88% to wakeup and reject all they have won through slight-of-hand…It is the same 12% (folks) in all social engineering endeavors that are responsible for destroying the American dream….one PC term at a time
Donald Trump speaks to that 88% of society that have been left out and they “need” to demand a voice. He is not stoking fear, but strength & power through competence. Stop the bleeding & fire those responsible…
The media has been only talking to the 12% and they don’t even see the 88% who are going kick them in the nuts…

  10. There is big difference between a leader who says what is on his mind and one who simply recites what he is told. Obama and of course our lovely new PM fall into that camp. Calling Trump stupid and thinking people are buying it is huge mistake the media is making. When the average guy compares himself to Trump he sees lots to be impressed by and the “stupid” remarks are taken as an insult personally by the average American.
If the media doesn’t stop with the cheap shots and start treating Trump as the legit contender he is, the Left will be sunk and America will have their first Ralph Klein type President which would be very scary on one hand and quite entertaining on the other.

  11. I don’t think anyone sees Trump as a messiah, just the guy they hope can get America back on track from eight long years of rule by a President that hates America.
Obama’s people actually thought that his Presidency really WAS “the moment the oceans stopped rising and the planet began to heal”, Trump’s supporters will be happy if he can get the Country working again, with a government there for Americans, not the third world.

  12. Oh c’mon, really now.
OBlahBlah was THE ONE! As stated previously, the waters would stop rising, the earth would heal itself, etc, etc, yadda, yadda. Krissy Matthews was getting tingles down his leg. Messiah Complex.
Trump, a messiah? No, just a brash leader, calling ut the media, beholden to no one. His wealth is appealing, in the sense that the corrupt DC lobby can’t buy him.
Self-centred? Ummmmmm, Oblamer is the worst I’ve ever seen, at least Trump has the cajones to back it up.
He was rich and famous, self-made that it, PRIOR to his ‘showbiz’ life.
His brashness and un-PC way is refreshing

  13. Dan – A recent poll found that over 49% percent of Trump supporters were registered Democrats. also according to some accounts the people at Trump rallies have that same stupid blank smiling expression one saw at Obama rallies. Where do you think those former Obama supporters went? Not all of them went to Hillary. This is why I think unfortunately Trump will win. Trump will garner the idiot vote.
So I would say that Trump certainly gets a lot of left wing support. Like Obama did He also gets 25 times more media coverage than all the other candidates combined. But he’s not conservative. Anyone who would threaten to punish companies for setting up shop outside of the US because of the high corporate taxes the US has, instead of talking about lowering those corporate taxes. Or when he said early on he would honor the Iran deal. Or when he attacks Cruz claiming he’s in league with “big oil”. That’s sounds like something your typical left wing twit would say. Trump also attacks companies who deal with China yet I wonder how many deals he’s made with China for his own ends. He’s not a religious man. I have yet to hear him mention the constitution even once. The only time I’ve heard him present a thought out policy is when it was written by someone else. he attacks Cruz for being against ethanol when we all know what a losing proposition that is. Trump even called himself Obama’s biggest fan at one time. He’s also a big supporter of government seizing private property for corporate need or public use. I can go on and on believe you me. Trump scares the living hell out of me. Of course if you’re not a conservative then Trump should be right up your ally.

  14. so warren, in your words define “conservative”, because maybe you have a different definitions than others have.
And as to your,”He’s not a religious man.” this is a good thing, as his ideology will not interfere with his governance. And then there is,” I have yet to hear him mention the constitution even once.”…obungles tends to mention his “knowledge’ of said document but never adheres to it as others understand it. And the average working Joe doesn’t relate to that document on a personal daily basis either. Sooooo, maybe he’s better of speaking TO his constituents, rather than over them.

  15. Never mind Trump. I’m actually toying with the idea of placing a sizeable bet that Hilary Clinton will be the next US President. After all, Like Obama was, she’s Wall Streets preferred candidate, and who cares what the US electorate thinks…….
    Follow the money every time……

  16. Warren
Only 10-15%, at most, is the ‘independent’ voter, that changes their allegiance, election to election, for the vaguest of reasons, ‘women in binders’, magic negro in the White House (-cool-), BushHitlerChimp, etc……
The Dems and GOP will get an automatic 40% floor, in the vote for POTUS. Labelling them as Dems in disguise, is disingenuous. Saying that Trump gets the ‘idiot’ vote, only disenfranchises those same people, and makes them bolder and more driven to put Trump in office. The mass mediots haven’t caught on yet, and likely never will (and that’s a good thing!)
After what the states has gone thru with Oblahblah, an incompetent embarrassment of immeasurable proportions, Trump is a vast improvement.
The Community Organizer in Chief has just been short bursts of hot air, with a lot of incompetence thrown in for good measure.
I will give you, that Trump is not a “radical right wing fanatic”. Anything to the right of OBomber will appear to be just that. What America needs, is someone like Trump, a self-made man, rather than an accomplished, corrupt, establishment crony politico, who will only bring more of the same. Trump’s overt media bashing, and taking them to the woodshed, is hitting home with the public. I liked Christie, but when he hugged Obomber like his long lost boyfriend, his cred was smashed forever.
What the US has been putting up with, by both Obomber, Bush, and to some degree, Billy the letcher, has pretty much bankrupted the US, and driven their manufacturing base overseas, with nothing to replace it. Trump wants to do something about that, none of the others do.
Is that speaking to the ‘idiots’?

  17. Exactly and well said, as were the comments of South of 34 and Slapshot.
Trump is speaking for the large segment of society that has been told to shut up and think and speak like you are told to by your betters.
DanBC, “What America needs, is someone like Trump, a self-made man, rather than an accomplished, corrupt, establishment crony politico, who will only bring more of the same.” Exactly!
If only we could get a Trump here in Canada.

  18. “If only we could get a Trump here in Canada” Ken (kulak)
It would help if Conservatives stopped with the stupid stuff.. they should not be cast as caretakers of a status Quo… They play the Doctor No..No’s of economic projections….The Doctor No..No’s are AKA as the obstructionists to growth
Trump has a “Vision” and a “Mission statement” of how he is going to achieve his Vision… That is a powerful message regardless of detail…
Look at Hillary… No vision, No mission statement.. Just more of the same jelly donuts & be happy. (Not unlike Harpers failed election)
