After COVID-19 emerged in Canada, governments postponed hundreds of thousands of surgeries and medical appointments in order to focus on the pandemic. Like a slow drip from an IV bag, tragic stories started to emerge from coast to coast about non-COVID patients suffering — and even dying — after their appointments were postponed.

Put some one on the floor who gets double time. And it is rampant. This has long term ramifications . And people are and will die because of it.

It’s not just covid delays. My daughter is suffering from frequent headaches, and has had some emotional problems, so she was referred to a pediatrician. Our appointment is on July 28th… 2022.

Our Alberta Health Service at work under Rachel Notley’s NDP direction. The NEWS has stayed well away from this story, for years. It’s never been reported and is a source of a lot of Premier Kenny’s angst in this Province since elected.

As part of my pilots medical I have to do a stress test each year. This spring the cardiologist said I met Transport requirements but he would like me to keep going so I am running wide open . After we stop the cardiologist says it maybe nothing but I would like for you to have a angiogram . So a month goes by were I can’t work have the angiogram Dr reports everything is good you can go back flying . By this time I need 6 month medical (If your over 40 you do do this bull shit every 6 month ) TC doctor can’t renew my medical till I have Holter Monitor plus other test I am still waiting for . It took month to get letter to start the process. Still can’t work . So still no appointment for Holter Monitor call Dr say I will travel any were any time say I can’t work with out this. Nothing to do just wait . So the other test I need you have to call week a head to say you will show up . You don’t talk to any one just an answering machine . But it did say call this number if you need Holter Monitor . I call the number got a person ,explained the deal , we can do you monday but they need paper work. Call Dr all ready sent “can you please send it to this fax number” . So today I got the Holter Monitor installed and ask when I can expect results . The nice lady says 6 weeks to two month most likely two month . What a pitiful country we are.
Several years ago, my hospital lost my halter monitor after I returned it. I was asked to do it again AND pay for it once more. I said “to hell with that.” At least my livelihood didn’t depend on the results.
I had the same thing with my first test , they lost it somewhere ! Or maybe my Doctor lost the results ,had to do it again ! No wonder it costs so much with repeat testing going on because of incompetence!
Too bad you’re not a junkie living in BC. You would have immediate service, free housing, free drugs, help with your injections daily, and free, immediate medical service at your fingertips.
Meanwhile, the rest of the population has to wait 2 hours for the ambulance to arrive, if you fell, got in a car accident, or other malady.
Junkies get prime service in BC, everyone else? Just ATM machines for tax payments.
Just remember to die quietly citizen, you don’t want to distract those valiant frontline workers from dancing and making Tik Tok videos in empty hospitals.

In Alberta this spring (2021), they had critical specialists in all sorts of areas, including guys who are one of a handful of specialists in the entire province in their fields, standing around in empty emergency rooms waiting for COVID patients. My buddy was one of them and said AHS was 100% mobilized for COVID while the rest of the health care system burned.
I suspect that these reports are going to be the tip of the iceberg.
I was in a hospital in the US right when the Covid protocols started to take effect. The food service fell apart; meals in styrofoam boxes instead of on plates under warming covers – the food arrived cold and unpalatable. Checkups from nurses were from every 4 hours to every 6 hours, and the nurse barely entered the room. Before, every 2 hours or so a nurse came in, came over to the bed and personally contacted me.
I can’t fault the staff; they were doing what they were told, and were obviously uncomfortable about the situation. What was apparent was that Covid protocols trumped everything else, regardless of patient well-being.
Our health care system reached the point of inadequacy years ago. All this shutdown/lockup bullshit is nothing but confirmation that our negligent politicians and bureaucrats were well aware of that. The Country is enduring these suspensions of liberties because these bastards were shitting themselves that generations of negligence – by all Parties – would be exposed by a true pandemic.
Having committed themselves to the Great Lie they now have no choice but to maintain all the gross fictions.
But they really had nothing to worry about. History shows us that an overwhelming percentage of the electorate has no concern about health care and will continue to support freedom-snuffers like turdo, no’tool, and singhalong.

Rationing is the only way to control costs. Rationing for you; our moral and intellectual superiors get same minute diagnosis and treatment.

Sorry this is Canada we don’t do healthcare here.
We do a government health insurance monopoly.
Then we brainwashed each generation to believe it’s free because someone else pays for it. Part of the washing includes convincing all citizens that no matter how long you have to wait that it’s better than any other “system” because no one has to sell their house for healthcare “like they do in the US”(tm).
Then the dirty little secret that those who manage said system have a habit of avoiding responsibility much the same way a bureaucrat in a communist dictatorship would.
Yet in this “free healthcare” not one administrator, doctor, nurse, or even the cleaning staff, is going without a paycheque.
Seem to recall that the last time someone told these public servants to just take a couple of days off …. without pay …. was some guy named Bob Rae.
Also recall the reason he did that was because the Ontario government ran out of other people’s money.
But I digress.
Perhaps the only way this changes is if one of the creditors tells the sock monkey they want their money back.
