Why is Ding dong important?
In BC thankfully schools were open this year. My kid’s school had a covid case a couple weeks ago and they isolated people close to the kid but no one else got it. Kids don’t spread this thing at all.
Idiots in Canada don’t realize it but most states in the US had much more severed restrictions and had way worse results but f blumpf.
Am equally grateful schools are open here as the grandbrats weren’t all doing that well with distance learning. Some of it would, no doubt, be due to the differences between schools; much is due to the differences amongst grandbrats. One in particular needs in-class learning to thrive. And they all were really, really glad to be with friends again instead of being stuck with a sib.
Meanwhile, back in Ontario, a school principal is in serious need of an attitude adjustment:
They should label such misuse of credentials as “borrowed valour”, presuming the doctorate was earned and not conferred.
I don’t mind so much people stepping “out of their lanes”, so long as whatever they’re bringing to the discussion is sourced or properly analysed. But I get tired of being talked down to by degreed folk or those using their position-of-influence as a bully pulpit to produce an agenda-driven result with no basis in reality.
