It’s about the Star Wars money. NK is a big threat to neighbors, but not very profitable one unless they could have ICBMs. Since they don’t, the US govt loves to weave tall tales about NK threats, technology, etc.

The fact that this alleged North Korean hack job attacked an American company and not a South Korean bank is all the red flag one needs.
If it turns out that she really did this inside hack and left a trail so small that the “experts” were at a loss as to who did it for several weeks, Sony should immediately re hire this girl and put her in charge of cyber security. She’s that good.

I don’t know who did it, but they seemed to have a pretty keen sense of what would seem sensational to an American audience and also what would embarrass Sony executives. I think that sort of rules out the NorKs, or at least means they had help from somebody who knew the business.

I agree. Under languages at the bottom it says, “html” and only html. No SysAdmin worth their salt doesn’t have Shell, Perl, PHP, Python, and at least rudimentary C and Java. If they are guru’s, they’ll have Sed, Awk and M4 listed, even though no one who hires will recognize them.
Hmmm if she looks really like her profile picture then I volunteer to do a indepth interview with her over a bottle of Merlot.
People who don’t actually know how enterprise system administration is done really should refrain from trying to pass judgement.
She’s a junior finance DBA. Anyone who’s actually had an SA job knows that job titles don’t mean squat, and that knowing obscure text manipulation languages from the 1970’s simply means you’re old.
