This is outrageous over $5m paid and how does that help the victims of the missing women in any way whatsoever? in fact many of the survivors complain that they can’t even get officials to talk with them. This is a total boondoggle even by Native enquiry standards and should be wrapped up as soon as possible . Instead look for the people on board to ask for another extension and even more funding, connected lawyers and Native hangerson haven’t been paid enough yet.
This is the aboriginal industry at it’s best. They know to how to string a narrative.

Consider that $5.3 million fee is for a contract that lasts just 251 days. That works out to $21,198.27 for each day of the contract. If we assumed a 10 hour work day that would mean McCarthy’s is billing out at $2,119 per hour.
I doubt the folks at McCarthy’s are working 10 hours a day, 7 days a week. We don’t even know how many people are working on this contract.
Whenever I receive a Subcontractor bid that “appears” out of focus, I perform the same simple mathematical analysis. It appears as though government bureaucrats are incapable of simple math. I guess they will need to pay Oracle a $200 million dollar contract to create an AI algorithm to do that simple calculation.
the entire thing is just a money grab. the stats show that the solve rate for indian women murdered is almost the same as for other murdered. this has not changed no matter how many inquires are held and no matter how many sad stories are told.
I could save everyone a whole lotta money by doing the report myself. I’ll even put it on a sheet of fine bond paper to make it more official. Or, you can just see the official results now; “It’s all YT’s fault.” The solution will be YT needs to cough up more. Never mind that the vast majority of aboriginal victims fall prey to aboriginal perpetrators. It’s still YT’s fault and the only thing that will fix it is more money!
