“Christian apathy” is right. I commented a few years ago about this very thing. It’s quite pathetic really, if you consider that if this happened in reverse order the world would be “outraged” today. Christians seem to care not about protecting their brothers, or defending their faith. I don’t go to church for obvious reasons, but I wonder how much time at church is spent discussing the war being raged against Christians around the world, and what they’re going do about it.
Well imagine how nasty they would have been if the student had been wearing a Star of David.

But Islam is such a peace loving religion, just ask the left wing elite and they’ll tell you that. I suspect the truth is that this young man just fell down a flight of stairs.
My sympathies go out to this young man’s family and all other Christians living in these barbaric countries.
In the future, GW Bush will be as famous for his “Islam, the religion of peace” quote as Neville Chamberlain for his “peace in our time” quote. Retrograde Barbarians.

As the Church stands in greater unity, the light will become stronger and brighter, and light always extinguishes darkness. The problem is that the light is hidden under a bushel instead of shining from the mountaintop.
The devil has already lost the battle, he is just trying to instill fear as it is one of the best distractions.
Coptic Christians are as devout as the Muslims, but they will kill their own if they leave the faith or move to another form of Christianity. Don’t be too quick to judge!
Religion kills, the Spirit always gives life and releases destiny!! That is a sign that the Kingdom of God is present, life flows and brings joy and peace.
What does the left care, their victory in Egypt and Libya is complete. The genocidal killing of Christians is the cherry on the cake for the Liberal Left.

I’m not being judgmental, but if it were my kin, or peers or family, I’d be working on how to get $$ and arms/protection to those folks abroad.

These are Sunday Christians you’re talking about, they put on a suit and assume the appropriate expression for an hour, then go home and continue on with business as usual. There’s a lot of them, always have been. Shake your hand on Sunday, screw you on Monday.
Churches in urban areas have for the most part become havens for liberal activists. United Church of Canada is a perfect example, the urban congregations eagerly throwing out any and all tradition to make the place into a glorified drop-in center. Rural congregations are completely outnumbered in the voting, and it seems are quietly making plans to leave the Church and start their own. Plenty of ominous rumbling about that for many years now. Anglican church, same deal.
