A Hamburg judge has filed a criminal complaint against German Chancellor Angela Merkel, after Merkel said she was glad that Osama bin Laden is dead.
Spiegel Online:
“‘I am a law-abiding citizen and…a judge, sworn to justice and law,” the 54-year-old (judge) told that paper, adding that Merkel’s words were “tacky and undignified.”
In his two-page document, Uthmann, a judge for 21 years, cites section 140 of the German Criminal Code, which forbids the “rewarding and approving” of crimes. In this case, Merkel endorsed a “homicide,” Uthmann claimed…
Yep, just the facts:

I get the feeling that these liberal types are not so much outraged that others are glad OBL is dead; they’re actually SORRY that OBL is dead. It makes sense that those who hate their own culture would identify with its deadliest enemies. Michael Moore in particular looks as if he’s lost his best friend.

like a lot of people, this judge’s thinking is based on arrogant condescension in that he thinks he’s above Bin Laden et al . He doesn’t see the jihadis as real people who have their own values and ideas and have their own reasons for doing things, he sees them as reflections or extensions of himself. ie if i do this , they do that, if i do that they do this.in reality, they don’t give a damn what he says, thinks or does, they’ve got their own path to follow.

The conspiracy theories about Bin Laden not being dead and the accusations of his death being premeditated murder are such a wonderful comeuppance on a President and political party who believed “9/11 was and inside job!” and at every opportunity called Bush a criminal. Your chickens have come home to roost, President Obama.
I thought that judges were supposed to exhibit impartiality. They should not be involved in initiating charges. Will he be the one who sits in judgement on the charge? That would be a complete corruption of the judicial system.

It was actually neither. Revenge was a by-product – as was “justice” for the families of OBL’s victims.
OBL was at the head of an organization that murdered US citizens and attacked US national interests world-wide. As such, he made himself the Number One Enemy of the United States.
That’s why they bumped him off.
Perhaps it has at last dawned on those fawning Germans who cheered on Candidate Obama at that Berlin rally in July 2008 that he was elected president to pursue US interests not European ones.
Now that we have a PM who has a majority and is NOT a lawyer – perhaps he will pursue with vigor legal/justice reform.
The German judge only displayed how far afar they have come from those they are supposed to be serving.

I’d like to know how he plans to prove a crime was committed. Once he proves that, then he has to prove that she was aware the killing was a criminal act. At the time she made the statement, it was widely reported he was killed while resisting arrest. Ms. Merkel didn’t say she was glad he was murdered, rather she is glad he’s dead. Being dead is simply a condition that occurs after you die. The judge probably has muslim neighbours, and hopes this gesture will keep him from being attacked. He should know, by now, that gestures only show weakness to your enemies. He’ll get the sword just as quickly as all the others.
“Euro Judges” have a lot in common with “muslim clerics” in that the function doesn’t easily translate into
anything equivalent or sensible in our system but someone has decided being over polite is a virtue.

Oh – and note that the judge put “human dignity” first in his list of alleged values. DIGNITY IS NOT A LEGAL CONCEPT! It’s barely possible to define it with any rigour, which is why the left wing loves to invoke it — it leads directly to arbitrary and oppressive state power, as in this case.

We’re not allowed to say we’re glad that Osama bin Laden is finally dead. This monster planned the 9/11 attacks. He is responsible for killing nearly 3000 innocent civilians. (Remember the shock and horror of seeing people JUMP from 80 stories up, rather than wait to burn to death in the inferno?) Bin Laden is on record as saying that he hadn’t expected the Twin Towers to collapse, and so his plan was more successful than he had dared to hope.
Judge Uthmann’s words and actions are indicative of the mind-rot festering in Germany (along with the other member states of the European Union). ALL these countries have invited hostile, non-assimilating immigrants into their societies, and they ALL criminalize any efforts by their citizens to describe or discuss the social problems caused by importing millions of arrogant foreigners who demand that their new country must change its laws, its customs, and its culture to accommodate their 7th-century tribal belief system.
The world has a lot of highly-educated idiots who are willing to let the barbarians overrun all of Western Civilization — because in their skewed view it’s only “fair” that they should treat untrustworthy savages (who would kill them without provocation or remorse) with the same respect and deference that they treat each other.
