Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Scott Reid, a former senior Liberal Party aide, just assumed that if the CBC gets public funding, the right wing blogs must be centrally funded as well.
cbc apologized?
crikey.
that’s harder to get than an apology from the cops.
Scott Reid can just blow me.
ping, the CBC’s policy is to apologize for one of every 10,001 errors. More often would just clog up their programming. And it gives the veneer of owning up to their mistakes. But you are right that it’s easier to get an apology from the cops (not that I’ve been successful at that either).
Time to privatize the CBC. Buy a bumper sticker and show your support:

Is he the nutjob that wanted Harper driven over by a bus? I’m shaking with laughter, CBC has journalistic standards oh by jesus that’s rich considering Milonutsky on air hysterical actions these past two weeks.
Next time he should try something like this instead of a year late confesion to the obvious fos moment :
“I mistakenly thought I was in a different parallel universe that day where my statements would have been factually correct.
My scheduler has been severely taken to task for her incompetence in not keeping me up to date and informed.”
.
I am not a violent man. But if I ever run into that assh**e Reid, I think I’ll punch him right in the mouth.
He’s about 40 or 45, I’m 75. That should make it about equal if I tie one hand behind my back.
I find it hilarious (but not at all surprising) that nobody at the CBC knows the difference between a “brigand” and a “brigade”.
cbc apologized?
thank you sun news

go for it. you’re in very good company:

‘2nd career as a boxer’ LOL !!!
(I wonder if punches in 1/6 gravity have the same impact…)
$1,200,000,000 buys us over a year to send an email.

Folks, there’s only 3 days to get the word out if you come to the same conclusion that I do. This is very serious.
If Jack does the coup the west will separate and become the city on the hill. If we do separate we should welcome all economic refugees from the US and Toronto.
From the CBC Ombudsmans Statement:
“Mistakes are made regularly in journalism. Academic studies indicate roughly one in two stories contain a factual error, a rate that hasn’t changed much over the decades despite better educated journalists and more sophisticated and familiar guest commentators.”
And, it takes over a year to correct it.
I guess I will just leave it up to a coin toss as to whether I will believe the journalist or not.
They must have even more of a complaint backlog now from all the leftists claiming that Mansbridge is a Conservative agent.
What Fred said.
“Mistakes are made regularly in journalism. Academic studies indicate roughly one in two stories contain a factual error, a rate that hasn’t changed much over the decades despite better educated journalists and more sophisticated and familiar guest commentators.”
That’s comforting.
Those on the left cannot imagine anyone spending their own time and MONEY for altruistic reasons. They are locked into the stipend, the dole, the kick-back … their own money is strictly to spent only when there is not one else’s money to spend instead of their own.
Remember Jack and Olivia … they were netting a way above average government income while living in a subsidized condo complex in Toronto.
They may about to get that same set-up in Ottawa … “If you wish long enough and hard enough sometimes dreams will come true” – Jiminy Cricket
Rich Fisher wrote: “$1,200,000,000 buys us over a year to send an email.” BRILLIANT!!!
Hey Ma, I just spent over a billion dollars paying the salaries of tens of thousands of corrupt hacks who really should be working for the Liberal Party of Canada and all I got for it was an insincere apology delivered a year later!
Speaking of insincerity, a Leftist apology is equivalent to a Leftist saying that they’re open minded. What they really mean is that they’re completely open to all views … that are in absolute lockstep with their own. Deviate one little bit from the Leftist Creed and those minds will close faster than a steel bear trap!
An admission of wrong doing is not necessarily an apology… I think is see a difference here.
Bloggers are paid?
does that also mean that
Big City Lib is a paid blogger?
the mind boggles at the audacity of the CBC
we used to say if you cant do a job , teach it , now I think its if you cant do a job, report it.
It is very interesting that a Liberal would conclude that conservative bloggers are paid for their efforts. The Liberal states it as fact, without evidence, perhaps because it is common among Liberal bloggers?
A little off topic, but the comment boards on the G&M and CBC are consistently inundated with anti-Harper rhetoric / slander on any story, on any topic. The rabid conservative-hate comments are nearly instant and many. Some recite the same tired talking points, other simply hatred.
My point is that it seems coordinated.
Sounds like a reason to celebrate this evening with some “Beer and Popcorn” to me. It’s a good thing.

Where did you spend your victory cheque, Kate?
;^)
CBC Ombudsman’s Office: The process -is- the punishment.
Nice of the Aardvark to kick this public employee into actually doing the job we’re stuck paying him for. Must have been a novel experience for a CBC guy, having to work for his money like that.
Tax cut, now please.
“The rabid conservative-hate comments are nearly instant and many”
pfft.
well rick, they just have to show up here to get a template eh?
