  1. I prefer the review process provided by Kate, Wretchard, Marc Steyn, Anthony Watts, Publius, VDH and countless other worthies.

  2. Who would have guessed it? Human corruption in Human science.
Ive gotten to the point I respect the office or orginizationsincluding medical or science.
    The people are another matter.
Where you find oppurtunity to gain without output. There you will find the blight of human taint.

  3. I wonder if they expected to find “Perfection”!
    Man Vs. Machine
This fanaticism that mathematical tools (complex ideas reduced to thier simplest form) are superior to the laws of nature & an analog (Symmetrical) view of the Universe… are born in the world of f##king idiots. He, who is not perfect, may not create a Master Algorithm
The freaks are already deciding court cases, and public policy….
This Opinion may be that of a F##ing idiot….

  4. If the University of East Anglia was in SK somewhere, then they would have STFU a while ago.
Not that their actual location is that much better for peddling this b.s., but the folks around there have pretty low expectations of their weather to start with.

  5. Are the Brights not just attempting to create the perfect storm according to what they have been taught and have been circle jerking for a very long time?

  6. The idea that science is now beyond the hoy polloy and must be dealt with by a high priest hood of PhDs has been foisted upon us by those who majored in the faculties of Arts and Crafts before being employed by the MSM. Of course if you asked many of the Prairie hoy polloy about pier review they wouldn’t give a hoot since we keep our boats on trailers most of the year.

  7. Next up, That great scientist*, The Goracle writes a book on the discrimination against fat people by the Law of Gravity.
The Goracle thinks a more respectful name than “fat people” is “gravitationally challenged people”. He calls for a global tax-funded UN committee to study this crisis. He also calls for an international system of trading weight credits, to compensate so that gravity has effectively the same pull on thin people as on fat people.

  8. Indeed, I agree with Phillip. Was the null hypothesis that the peer review system publishes only worthy papers?
How did this article survive the peer review process?

  9. I don’t know much about gaming theory, but the whole “peer review process” seems like a complete inverse of the prisoner’s dilemma. The one thing that is obvious – it is being gamed.
