“Somebody’s back there shooting their own video, I guess.”

Question – If the Conservatives are doing all of the astroturfing, how come the “Coalition” has all of the printed signs?
Related: Dion finally provokes his members to open their wallets. “Card carrying Liberal Party members. incensed at what their Party leadership have pulled, are calling Conservative Party HQ and donating… BIG TIME.”

Leftards going into melt down. Run for cover before their heads start exploding.
Union-printed signs?
Canadian Labour Congress ads on TV?
Hmm. Is Stephane Dion the sockpuppet of Jack Layton or is Jack Layton the sockpuppet of Big Labour?
Good point, Kate. The anti-coalition rallies I’ve seen in other cities have been “ordinary citizen” rallies with homemade signs and without fancy stages. It looks to me like the coalition did have a lot planned in advance and were going to try to overthrow the government no matter what was in the fiscal update.
How many do-overs does this guy get?
He bombs the Liberal leader debates but becomes the leader.
He blows an election, stays on as leader.
Almost creates a constitutional crisis and unity crisis in a highly unpopular bid to become an unelected PM, stays on as leader.
Chantal Hebert said cats have nine lives, Stephane Dion has nine deaths. This guys just won’t get it!
Amazing isn’t it, these brain deads cheering for Dion and his party is trying to get rid of him!
Maybe the Liberals should rethink getting rid of him, I mean, if the greedy guts in the unions want him they could garner a lot of support. Yeah, right!
Talk about the rats scrambling,we’ve got them out front for all to see and that’s not a bad thing.
CTV and CBC are the enemies of stable government because they’re OBVIOUSLY in the camp of the silly fools who attempted a coup. Today we can’t even get coverage of the rallies across the country in favour of our elected to govern Conservatives under PM Harper. They had no trouble showing the goddamned Unionistas and rerunning them incessantly though.
Yeah, we got trouble alright. We’ll fix it but we need an election to do it and soon.
Double-click on the video to read the comments. After the “Harper is finished” one I posted the latest poll results. Let’s see if the video owner allows it to stand!
Not a single paper mache Harper head to be seen …. lazy buggers .
We cannot let Dion leave the Libs. He is a godsend.
I was at the Ottawa rally and yeah as far as I could see, the signs were all home made . . . good ones too like: 143 seats is more than 77 + 36 asses.
Is anyone else having trouble accessing the Blogging Tories website?
Ted………..7:19 central time………..worked fine for me.
Go wee wee on each other, oui oui.
The coalition, two Bob Rae’s and one person who hates CANADA. In the USA it would come under the Rico Act. Yes the MSM seem’s to have problem remembering Comrade Jack’s plotting with the Bloc Brothers for a considerable time period. Only the story tales of the coalition are printed.
The Liberal Party of Canada and their fellow traitors the NDP will never be able to wash off the stench of shaking hands with the Bloc in a formal, legal coalition.
The stench will linger, it will get worse, it will always remind Canadians of how desperate, power hungry, crass morons like Taliban Jack and Steffi.
Next election just run a 30 second clip of Dion, Layton and Duceppe, no flag behind them, stand up from the table, smile at each other and shake hands.
No voice over necessary, just play the clip over and over.
Remind us all of what that stench in the air is.
Oh c’mon now, Jack Layton and Eddie Broadbent say that it is strictly an NDP/Liberal Coalition, the Bloc is not in it.
The Bloc only supports it.
Yeah, that’s the ticket, wink wink nudge nudge, knowwhatImean?
Could it be true? Could patriotic Liberals have begged the CPC to ask the GG to prorogue?

Is the sane and patriotic faction of the LPC going to pull the plug out of the back of the head of the Power Borg?
Is that the sound of the changealition circling the bowl?
We arrived at Queens Park with our large Canadian flag, at about 12:15. (There were quite a few flags and about 300 + people, I think—I’m bad with such numbers—at the height of the demonstration.) The speeches had already started. Among the crowd (old, young, in between—it seemed most were middle aged—many ethnicities) and the speakers, there were many representatives from ethnic communities, who were passionate about their allegiance to the rule of law and democracy. They were scathing about the hijacking of power by the coalition. One speaker—a Hindu—said he’d made the decision to leave his country and move to Canada: “If I’d wanted [an undemocratic—or words to that effect] government, I’d have moved to Pakistan!” BIG LAUGH . . .
Peter Kent, Rick Dykstra from St. Catharines, John Tory, and civic politicians spoke and were enthusiastically received, as were the others—including a Korean Campaign vet. The MC—I don’t know who she was—was great. We sang the National Anthem at the beginning and, spontaneously, at the end. The crowd was very engaged, but could have been more demonstrative!
There was a CTV cameraperson—a man, actually—in the crowd. He didn’t appear to be very busy.
As we were leaving, we said hi to some of the police officers—with nothing to do—and expressed the opinion that they were lucky to be at our rally because we were such a law abiding, polite group of people! (Some yahoos, on their way to the pro-coalition rally had disrupted our rally on their way through, shouting unpleasant things, like, “LIARS!”: unnecessarily angry: what else would one expect?) The police totally agreed with us—and expressed their concern about law and order under a coalition government “of looney-toon lefties” we added! They didn’t disagree.
We checked the media coverage on the internet when we got home. What media coverage? From what we could see, ALL of CTV’s live visuals were of the pro-coalition rally at City Hall. We saw Stephane Dion from the front and side—no crowd scenes (?)—and continued to see him when the anchor was interviewing the reporter at the Ottawa ANTI-coalition rally!
Anchor: Was Stephane Dion there? Reporter: No . . .
It was all very confusing. I believe I HEARD that there were more people (at least double those of our opponents) at the Ottawa ANTI-coalition rally than had been at the pro-coalition one the other day. But there were only visuals of the days-old, pro-coalition rally, with NONE of today’s ANTI-coalition one. Global appeared to have nothing on its web site.
Update: 4:00 p.m. FINALLY, pictures of the Ottawa ANTI-coalition rally: it looked quite large, though the CTV banner mainly covered it in the long shot. The CTV bimbo reported, all afternoon, that there were “hundreds” in the crowd. (One could tell, from the meagre visual offerings, that there were far more than that.) Also, after hearing both Stephane and Jack speak (rubbish)—full frontal shots—there were NO shots of the speakers at the Ottawa rally: nor did we hear anything they had to say.
Later, @ 6:00: finally, CTV admitted there were about 1500 anti-coalition patriots (my word) at the Ottawa rally. (I wonder how many angry phone calls/emails, with proof, it took for CTV to tell the truth.)
(When I got home at about 2:00, my mom had left me a message: she said she’d watched CTV for more than an hour—and all they covered was the pro-coalition rally at Toronto City Hall—full time. She was livid! And up until now, she’s been quite apolitical. . .)
This duplicity on the part of the MSM is very serious. How the H*ll dare they be so transparently biased and unjust? Totally unprofessional too. Calling them CTV Tass and CBC Pravda is no longer an exaggeration for these corrupt propagandists. When one considers the huge odds against the more conservative elements of this country—how we and PMSH and his government are, and have been, treated with the utmost disdain by our overlords in the courts, the HRCs, the MSM, our public, and even private, institutions, and, until lately, the government, itself—it’s astonishing that we’ve managed to band together at all.
I hope all of this skulduggery (none of it new or surprising to the old hands among us) has awakened some people, who haven’t, until now, been aware of the utterly depraved nature of the left-wing coven that is trying to hijack this once proud, free, and principled country.
And then there’s Kate: thanks for all you do to promote truth and freedom in Canada!
I’d be willing to bet $10 that those signs WEREN’T union made.
In all my years on the left, we never used a union print shop once — we could never afford it.

Always thought there was something conspiritorical about Mary Walsh and the rest of that unfunny hatred for western Canada, especially the red-neck Albertans, spewing gang of public teat raised trolls from 22 Minutes. Turns out that they are liebrals, good example of why tax money and “arts” are not compatible with integrity.
Dion is like a Hobbit. the closer the ring comes the more demented he becomes. once Backdoorjack dangled the ring in front of his face he couldnt take his eyes off it no matter what the consequence.
He is Golum in a sheepskin wig.
Harpeeeeerr.Harrppppppeeeeer.eeeehehheehhehe
The double post? The first time I clicked POST, my message was clearly rejected, by a screen I’ve never seen before. So, I cleared the site, came back, and posted again (my draft post still in Word). No problem.
Now I see why there are so many multiple posts.
Concerned Canadian– I noticed much the same. I think one of the reasons is that the union guys and others organizing the pro-coalition rallies have better media contacts. Lots of our rallies were organized by high school kids and young university students who just don’t know how to work the media as well.
But that’s okay–I’d rather have truly engaged youngsters than union bosses on my team any day!
Today i got a good laugh when someone on the Radio opined about Dion and his Roger-rabid impression during his crisis-Video to save canada from ourselves who voted for the wrong Party.
Roger-rabid……..I’m still laughing because the cartoon Rabbit still seems more Animated and life-like than Dion , plus when Dion starts to lose it he reminds me of the Soupy Sales show Puppet that had a baloon for a nose and it would grow as he told lies to Soupy…..finally,the big bang of the balloon bursting help with the puppets exit and fresh balloon for the next gag.
The world must be hurting from the collective Belly-laugh from the “Funniest Video” entry from canada.
I was at the Ottawa Rally today & I would have said the crowd was easily 2000+, and unlike the pro-treason rallies, our crowd made their own way there, they weren’t the same crowd of goons being bused around from rally-to-rally by unions and the CLC at their members’ expense. One of the nicest (again, homemade) signs I saw belonged to a grey-haired gent in a leather jacket whose sign read “PSAC doesn’t speak for me”.
As for fair media coverage, forget it. CBC = Commie Broadcasting Corp in my book, and it’s the first thing that should be axed in the Budget after next (you know, this first one that will be delivered in the new Harper 2009 Landslide mandate
CTV story now has Ottawa rally up to 3,000 and Toronto at 500+ (Toronto!)

I haven’t contributed $$ to a political party since 1990 when I joined the Reform Party, last week however I joined the Conservative Party for 5 years and donated $50 on top. It’s not much in the whole scheme of things but it’s huge for me and I think lots of folks are doing the same thing.
EW, with respect, the media left-wing bias is long standing, ingrained, and vicious. (You think Peter Kent doesn’t have all kinds of contacts? Actually, they’re probably ex-friends by now!)
But I agree with you: I’d far rather stand with the “salt of the earth” types at our rallies than with the “sold their souls to the devil” turncoats at our opposite number.
In the larger scheme of things, integrity trumps expediency and power grabbing every time.
Yeah, Kelly: WELL DONE!!
Thanks to all that attended the various rallies across the country.
To allow a Socialist Triumvirate of nut bars to control Canada, even for a month or so, with the proviso that THEY CAN NOT RECEIVE A NON-CONFIDENCE VOTE (they’ve even got it in writing) would cause irreparable damage.
Fight the good fight folks, Corny as it sounds,
CANADA NEEDS US RIGHT NOW!!
What’s with the “Yes we can” chant at the end of the video of the pro-coalition rally? Isn’t that awfully … American???
The fact that lieberals are donating to the conservatives is proof that there is evolution. These relics of history known as liberals are finally starting to evolve, and see the error of their ways, listening to the likes of Jack U. Layton and the eternal idiot Dion, or Mr. Dithers or the grand-daddy of the can-communists Turdeau. These recent converts are now starting to see who are the intolerant ones, you know the tolerant Probe and Fail colomnunists like Jeffery Simpson, Homers son, who hates Harper with a vengance, or that angry feminist Wente who along with her lesbo friends just hate Harper and didn’t like voting for Dion but due to their tolerant hatred of Harper just had to vote for Dion. Please Toronto, you great blight on the landscape,” ten times the size of the Alberta oilsands” keep up with your own brand of TOLERANCE, we just love it out west, you idiots!
Rick in BC: I noticed that weak attempt of an Obama chant too.
Pretty sad.
Here’s a Yank (Republican! :-), who’s very glad to see that Canadians are waking up to stop this putsch by the NDPCommies, the Bloc and their useful fool Grits.
At this point. it looks like the best outcome IS an election, now:
* The Conservatives get their majority;
* The Grits get their ‘nads cut off and
* The Bloc also loses some seats and
* The Bloc also gets to look forward to a loss of about 60% of their revenue, with the NDP And Grits also losing their public teat when the Conservative majority Govt cuts off all taxpayer money to all political parties.
This being the probable outcome of an election now, I’m guessing the Gang of Three will try to find a method of retreat without triggering an election.
Where was the great Danny Williams, was he at a rally anywhere protesting that baddass Harper. Was his hulking 5 foot frame anywhere to be overlooked as the mini asshole wailed from a lobster trap about the perils of voting for Harper. Yea you are the man Danny, the fool who will soon find out at 40 dollars a barrel just how much your, expensive to produce, oilfields will pump. Get used to transfer payments again Danny, and don’t call your buds home from Alberta to soon, we need the help and you you little jackass can just try to sign some oil producer up to produce your 100 a barrel oil, aint karma a bitch Danny!
This who brouhaha is about the auto-industry not getting their bail out and Quebec fearing that the Conservatives will turn off the trough.
In politics, follow the money.
Heh Heh! Ho Ho!
Direct to war we must go!
Prepare for anotgher election at the end of January/early February. I think I must bnring my vacation forard to mid-January.
It is clear that the liberals and socialists did not accept the popular will from the last election, so we shall have another; in spite of their attemots to take power without an election.
This next election is to the death; it will be decisive; this is why the liberals want to avoid it.
I was at the Queen’s Park rally. It ran pretty smoothly – kudos to the 17 year old who apparently organized it all on facebook. Quite a contrast to Mary Walsh hosted and the union-organized Nathan Philips Square affair.
The best line of the day belonged to the Hindu guy, as noted above by Concerned Canadian. I actually thought the Hindu guy (Banerjee, I believe his name was) was the most effective speaker. He also had a couple of things to say, directly and indirectly, about Islamists. I think that the CPC and the large number of Hindu immigrants to Canada should be a good match in the future – they are successful and contributing immigrants who know the evils of terrorism from two sides (Sikh and Islam). He actually went and said “If you thing Mumbai can’t happen here, you are wrong.” Props to him.
It was cold enough that they cut the last 1/2 hour off, which was probably the right thing to do.
All in all, a good experience.
Good point re. the “astroturfing”; at the Ottawa rally, I didn’t see a SINGLE commercially-made sign (lots of flags, yes, but no signs), while you can’t sneeze at a pro-coalition rally without hitting some loser holding one of those “Coalition OUI” placards produced by or for Taliban Jack and The Dion Who Would be King.

More garbage from the Northern Ontario shill.
Well … just a little note from Winnipeg.
The rally generated about 300 by my estimate.
Considering the weather … and it was cold enough to get through Sorrels and good quality ski gloves.. a pretty goof result and more than I had expected.
ONE loudmouth loon agitator who got told to shut up and when he started in on an little lady of senior years got good shove.
TV news crews were there but one odd thing happened.
AT the start of the event there was a minute silence for our service members lost and then a very robust singing of the national anthem.
After the event had anded and people were dispersing there was a small gathering of folks singing the anthem again. THIS brought the news crew and their camera right into the faces of the people expressing their patriotic love.
Wonder which showed up on the news??
Was at the Ottawa rally today. Concerning the attendance…I stood approximately 75-100 feet from the stage and five feet to the left of the Centenial Flame pathway on the grass area. Flags were seen all the way at the back beyond the Flame and it fanned out on both sides beyond the centre pathway beginning from the front flaring outwards even further as you gazed to the back. In my estimation based on the width and depth of the crowd I would venture and say that you could fill the Civic Centre with that crowd making it about 8,000 – 10,000 people in attendance.
All readers need to understand are a couple of things.
CAVEAT EMPTOR…
The author is a shill that scribes screed for socialism.
I recommend checking Canadian blogs such as smalldeadanimals.com and stevejanke.com to do a comparison of her facts.
The author got spanked for some “ethics” in a hit piece she wrote about a foreign leadership candidate.
Canada was on the road to weathering the storm, until the left-wing parties decided that “power” was their goal instead of what is right for a country.
Sad.
Sadder even that Heather’s scribings are don’t hold much credibility in her home country.

“aint karma a bitch Danny!”
Great line bart! It also works as:
“aint karma a bitch Stephan!”
“aint karma a bitch Jack!”
“aint karma a bitch Michael!”
power deprived Liberal + grasping socialist NDP = pack of jackals.
Listen to that zombie like “yes we can” chant, then tell me this whole ordeal has nothing to do with Obama…
The only thing missing (aside from Dion) were the Hezbollah flags….
Tid Bit from a friend who attended one of the rallys in Alberta. She was told by a party insider that Prime Minister Harper was NOT in danger of losing the confidence vote on Monday.
He had been contacted by more than enough opposition members who told him they were disgusted by the whole thing and would either not show up or abstain.
That would have to be more than 12.
So , closing down parliament 5 days early was to let some cooler heads prevail, as the PM said.
If these opposition members had abstained it would have been public and they and their families would have spent the next two months being bombarded by the media, blackballed by their parties and as targets for the vitriolic wrath we have seen the left unleash on their own who do not toe the party line.
This way everyone can save face.
Good on the PM.
Pass this on…
Suggestion for Conservative election ad:
Intro showing 90’s unity crisis rally video footage followed up with Liberals (Chretien) footage of how they are the only party whom can fight off the Separatists. Then Adscam footage reminding Canadians of the theft of taxpayers monies by the Liberals in their effort (“What’s a couple million” – J.Chretien) to fight off the Separatists ending with footage of the Liberals in bed with the Bloc – signing of coalition documents with Layton and Duceppe.
No audio required just simple footage and banner headlines for affect.
Rhetorical question:
Who really has the “Hidden Agenda”?
Hey Hey Ho Ho! The Co a li tion is a HO!
Marie
yup, I can believe that
also, now maybe some smart liberals can take control of the Liberal party and put some of the idiots in the broom closet
