  2. Howdy Kate & SDA folks,
I’ve been busy lately looking at bottoms, boat bottoms unfortunately, and have missed what is happening.
I see folks that I’ve been reading for years tossing money Kate’s way, like theres a major need. Is there some kind of lawsuit happening?
Just want to know so that I can help if help is needed.

    “Canadian swine herds being thinned”
Don’t they realise there are food shortages in some parts of the world so if they have to be “disposed of in environmentally legal fashion.” what better way than sell them for food, hell if neccessary give them away.
Or is this just another scam where the taxpayer is paying farmers for nothing.

Although I am usually in favour of the proletariat, I have to wonder why does the government insist in screwing the people with this socialist practice of appeasing the ineffeciencies of the agricultural sector?
But how is it that we pay twice the price of the nearby Americal dairy, meat and other products? Why? Because of this annoying practice of screwing the the majority for the sake of a few and appeasing industry ineffiency. The pork producers need to get their act together. They could always ask the Americans how to do that (smirk).
    So much for free trade.

  7. “Nobel Prize-Winning Peacekeeper Asks UN to Admit Climate Change Errors
When Global Warmingest-in-Chief Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize last year, the media’s prideful gushing was so obvious it was almost sick-making.
Now, six months later, a fellow Nobel Peace Prize recipient is part of a group asking the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change “admit that there is no observational evidence in measured data going back 22,000 years or even millions of years that CO2 levels (whether from man or nature) have driven or are driving world temperatures.”
Since it is a metaphysical certitude media will ignore this Prize winner, the following is a complete reprint of a letter sent to the IPCC on Monday (with permission):
    14 April 2008
Dear Dr. Pachauri and others associated with IPCC
We are writing to you and others associated with the IPCC position – that man’s CO2 is a driver of global warming and climate change – to ask that you now in view of the evidence retract support from the current IPCC position [as in footnote 1] and admit that there is no observational evidence in measured data going back 22,000 years or even millions of years that CO2 levels (whether from man or nature) have driven or are driving world temperatures or climate change.
If you believe there is evidence of the CO2 driver theory in the available data please present a graph of it.”

I can understand why Kate would want to take a look. I haven’t said anything, I don’t think, that could be damaging but, then, how would Kate know?)

  9. Well Pat,
What is happening is actually a pivotal moment in Canadian blogging history.
A drama involving serious attacks on freedom of speech, expression & attempts by some specific serial/cereal nuts and berry type individual(s) to stifle ‘conservative’ Bloggers by libel suits, threats, slurs and other innuendo.
Give what you can to the individuals involved (SDA, 5 feet of Fury, Ezra, Freedominion). I personally don’t trust paypal so asked for the mailing addresses and hope it has worked.

  10. This is something we’ve long suspected but now have the proof of. The CBC “colours” their reporting of issues “Muslim” so as not to offend them because it could mean serious reprocussions for their reporters working in Muslim countries. I visited Ezra’s site this morning and he writes about an interview by the CBC of their own “publisher”, John Cruickshank. Cruickshank all out admits that the CBC tempers their reports on issues involving Muslims so that their reporters are not harmed.
This is an absolutely astounding thing to say. The CBC news and editorial policy is basically directed by radical Islam. The CBC has steadfastly refused to use the word “terrorist” when referring to certain factions of radical Islam yet it is the fear of “terrorist-like” reprisals that keep them from reporting the news as it is. This is fraud of the highest order and betrays a complete lack of moral and ethical courage. Now I ask you, any of you, what possible reason could there be for the CBC to continue to exist? Oh yes, I forgot – there is one reason – well two actually – curling and hockey.
The time is long past to pull the plug on this sad joke of an organization and flush them into the cesspool of TV and Radio history.

  11. Volker Mrasek, Cleaner Air Means a Warmer Europe
Europe is heating up much faster than climate researchers expected, and now they think they know why: air made dramatically cleaner by anti-pollution programs. With less particle pollution clouding the air, more sunlight is coming through and the continent is getting warmer…
“Our findings contradict the IPCC,” said Rolf Philipona of MeteoSwiss, Switzerland’s national weather service. He and his colleague Christian Ruckstuhl, who now works as a researcher in California, analyzed data from 25 weather stations in northern Germany and eight in Switzerland.
“We found that the increase in radiation on the ground is considerably greater under a cloudless sky than a clouded one,” Philipona told SPIEGEL ONLINE. The direct impact of particulate pollution is about five times greater than the indirect impact, he explained. That shows, he claims, that sulfate aerosols play “a truly important, immediate roll” in Europe’s climate conditions…

  12. Michael Ignatieff in the lion’s den
In the last couple of months, Barack Obama has gone before the American public to explain himself or perhaps to apologize for remarks made. He wasn’t terribly successful.
Similarly, Michael Ignatieff, Member of Parliament for Etobicoke Lakeshore, Deputy Leader Liberal Party of Canada, delivered an address at Holy Blossom Synagogue, Toronto last night with the intention of doing likewise. He also wasn’t successful…

  13. Daniel Pipes, Europe or Eurabia?
The future of Europe is in play. Will it turn into “Eurabia,” a part of the Muslim world? Will it remain the distinct cultural unit it has been over the last millennium? Or might there be some creative synthesis of the two civilizations?
…I foresee potentially one of three paths for Europe: Muslims dominating, Muslims rejected, or harmonious integration…

  16. Anyone else see the appalling ad by David Suzuki in a Club House full of children by PowerWISE?
It’s dark and the children are all whispering conspiratorially about the environment, their future and their parents not doing enough etc…
David Suzuki is the only adult there and he says to the kids “You have the power, it’s up to you to start saying ‘Hey'”
This reminds me of the Khymer Rouge (spelling?) scenes in The Killing Fields where the children are being brainwashed to disown their parents. Or in 1984 where children are taught to turn their parents in to the state for various thought-crimes.
Go to powerwise.ca, and see the video called “Club House”.

  17. The Liberals have cameras at the scene when the RCMP comes to the CPC headquarters.
How did they know the RCMP would be there, and when they would be there?

  18. Why is this not surprising? When will the peaceniks (including Carter) understand that you can’t make peace with violent thugs bound to a foundationally violent ideology of conquest?

Ms di Marineo (L) was hitch-hiking to the Middle East with a fellow artist
An Italian woman artist who was hitch-hiking to the Middle East dressed as a bride to promote world peace has been found murdered in Turkey.
The naked body of Giuseppina Pasqualino di Marineo, 33, known as Pippa Bacca, was found in bushes near the northern city of Gebze on Friday.
She had said she wanted to show that she could put her trust in the kindness of local people.
    Uh huh.

  19. I see BB beat me to it on the CPC headquarters raid. Interesting there were cameras there for the raid, yes. Somebody dropped a dime? We will never know.
Here’s something else interesting. Just heard on the radio that a poll was released today showing the CPC down against the Liberals.
A convenient confluence of media events, I would say. Serendipity, as it were.
Coincidence? I might be inclined to doubt it, but somebody would probably sue Kate again and what’s worse, me.
    D’oh! Oh no, Mr. Bill!!!

  20. Landowners to protest endangered species law with clear-cutting
    By THE CANADIAN PRESS
TORONTO – The Ontario Landowners’ Association is threatening to protest the province’s endangered species law by clear-cutting 100 square kilometres.
The land, near Lindsay, is home to at least one bird that is protected by Ontario’s new species-at-risk law.
Jack MacLaren, with the landowners association, says the Liberals are forcing them to take drastic action.
If an endangered bird is found on someone’s property, MacLaren says their property values plummet and they can no longer use part of the land for farming.
He says that’s not fair because the government doesn’t offer to compensate those landowners.
Natural Resources Minister Donna Cansfield says there is nothing the province can do to stop the clear-cutting if it’s done on private land.

  22. David Hazony, Britain’s Qumran Craziness
When will the Brits run out of new and creative ways to attack Israel? The British Advertising Standards Authority, an independent watchdog set up to ensure fairness in advertising, has attacked the Israeli tourism ministry for including the historical site at Qumran in one of its ads. The problem? Qumran is on the wrong side of the Green Line, and is technically in territory captured by Israel in the 1967 war. Therefore, Israel is “misleading” consumers by implying that Qumran is in Israel…

“Saudi Cleric Omar Al-Sweilem Extols the Breasts and Thighs of the Black-Eyed Virgins of Paradise,” from MEMRITV (thanks to Sr. Soph):
Following are excerpts of a video-clip featuring Saudi cleric Omar Al-Sweilem, which was posted on the Internet. The video quality is low in the original.
Omar Al-Sweilem: Harith Ibn Al-Muhasibi told us what would happen when we meet the black-eyed virgin with her black hair and white face – praised be He who created night and day. What hair! What a chest! What a mouth! What cheeks! What a figure! What breasts! What thighs! What legs! What whiteness! What softness! Without any creams – no Nivea, no vaseline. No nothing! He said that faces would be soft that day. Even your own face will be soft without any powder or makeup. You yourself will be soflt, so how soft will a black-eyed virgin be, when she comes to you so tall and with her beautiful face, her black hair and white face – praised be He who created night and day. Just feel her palm, Sheik! He said: How soft will a fingertip be, after being softened in paradise for thousands of years! There is no god but Allah. He told us that if you entered one of the palaces, you would find ten black-eyed virgins sprawled on musk cushions. Where is Abu Khaled? Here, he has arrived! When they see you, they will get up and run to you. Lucky is the one who gets to put her thumb in your hand. When they get hold of you, they will push you onto your back, on the musk cushions. They will push you onto your back, Jamal! Allah Akbar! I wish this on all people present here. He said that one of them would place her mouth on yours. Do whatever you want. Another one would press her cheek against yours, yet another would press her chest against yours, and the others would await their turn. There is no god but Allah. He told us that one black-eyed virgin would give you a glass of wine. Wine in Paradise is a reward for your good deeds. The wine of this world is destructive, but not the wine of the world to come.

Meanwhile, the German scholars researching the oldest Islamic texts have stated that the ‘houris’, or what Muslims think of as the black eyed virgins, have been mistranslated from the original Syriac – it actually means white raisins.
Boy will they be surprised after going to the trouble of self detonating. 72 raisins. What a mixup.

  24. Dr. Andre Oboler, Online Antisemitism 2.0. “Social Antisemitism” on the “Social Web”
Around 2004, changes in technology created Web 2.0, the social web where users, not publishers, create the content. As technology adapted, so did online antisemitism. With the new “social web” came a new “social antisemitism,” an Antisemitism 2.0. This phenomenon is spreading antisemitism and acceptability of antisemitism in new and increasingly effective ways…

    http://www.reuters.com/article/entertainmentNews/idUSL1584799120080415?feedType=RSS&feedName=entertainmentNews&rpc=22&sp=true
PARIS (Reuters) – French former film star Brigitte Bardot went on trial on Tuesday for insulting Muslims, the fifth time she has faced the charge of “inciting racial hatred” over her controversial remarks about Islam and its followers.
Prosecutors asked that the Paris court hand the 73-year-old former sex symbol a two-month suspended prison sentence and fine her 15,000 euros ($23,760) for saying the Muslim community was “destroying our country and imposing its acts”.

I guess the French have no free speach either. No wonder Le Pen is far more popular than he ought to be.

  26. (Via Israpundit) Daniel Pipes, Is Islam Compatible with Democracy?
Islam’s problem is less its being anti-modern than that its process of modernization has hardly begun. Muslims can modernize their religion, but that requires major changes: Out go waging jihad to impose Muslim rule, second-class citizenship for non-Muslims, and death sentences for blasphemy or apostasy. In come individual freedoms, civil rights, political participation, popular sovereignty, equality before the law, and representative elections.
Two obstacles stand in the way of these changes, however. In the Middle East especially, tribal affiliations remain of paramount importance…

  27. Yeah but, Charles, the situation isn’t going to be resolved as long as the UN panders to Islamofacist nations that don’t accept and enforce the International Declaration of Human Rights.
In fact, the opposite is happening. UN Human Rights are controlled and dominated by those very same nations that reject human rights and freedoms and they are now trying to enforce Shariah on the rest of the world.

A Yemeni court on Tuesday granted a divorce to an eight-year-old girl whose unemployed father forced her into an arranged marriage this year, saying he feared she might be kidnapped.
“I am happy that I am divorced now. I will be able to go back to school,” Nojud Mohammed Ali said, after a public hearing in Sanaa’s court of first instance.
Her former husband, 28-year-old Faez Ali Thameur, said he married the child “with her consent and that of her parents” but that he did not object to her divorce petition.
In response to a question from Judge Mohammed al-Qadhi, he acknowledged that the “marriage was consummated, but I did not beat her.”

Credit crunch? The real crisis is global hunger. And if you care, eat less meat(Moonbat Incoming!)
    The Guardian ^ | Tuesday April 15 2008 | George Monbiot
Never mind the economic crisis. Focus for a moment on a more urgent threat: the great food recession that is sweeping the world faster than the credit crunch. You have probably seen the figures by now: the price of rice has risen by three-quarters over the past year, that of wheat by 130%. There are food crises in 37 countries. One hundred million people, according to the World Bank, could be pushed into deeper poverty by the high prices. But I bet that you have missed the most telling statistic. At 2.1bn tonnes, the global grain harvest broke all records…

  30. How about some parly on the raid by RCMP and Elections Canada at the Conservative party headquarters in Ottawa?? I hear they spotted Stepane Dion hiding in one of the CBC vans while they were filming the event. (Just kidding.)

  31. Western nations like Canada, the US and those in Europe who decided to the “share the wealth”, to do the humane thing and bring in visible minorities to their lands and these nations who were proud, patted themselves on the back for doing so actually, founded on the high mortal ground, fostered by our Judeo-Christian values, after a time find out there is immigrant ingratitude becoming more visible all the time and those who speak out in dismay of that fact are hauled before the courts and fined heavily, … for noticing. It is a bad dream.
    NOT!

  32. This CPC raid seems to be the this weeks scandal
Would this just be ongoing business used as a sleazy photo op
With all the usual participents…the RCMP was a nice touch.

  33. Yes, this raid is the latest in the Liberal strategy of Smear-A-Week against Harper and the CPC.
And, with the MSM as their sidekicks, they get lots of publicity. They need to do it weekly because the paucity of reality of each smear means that its value fades rapidly..as the public realizes that it’s yet another Liberal scam.

And what can the priorities of jihadist media tell us about the operational priorities of Al-Qaeda and affiliated movements?
