The turnaround in Denmark led by the conservative PM elected 5 years ago is quite remarkable. Denmark is now more like the Anglosphere capitalists than it is like American-phobic France.
This dustup with the druggies and hippies is just part of the on-going clean-up of the Scandinavian myth that socialism and sloth are viable economic strategies.
Vancouver ought to send its Mayor to Copenhagen for a lesson in how to clean up its hippies.

They have a RIGHT to free housing
They have a RIGHT to not contribute to society
They have a RIGHT to have others pay for their stuff.
They are socialists, maybe even Marxists, so somebody else has to pay for them.
Its only logical, its socialism.
I guess a new variety of Eurotrash(ing) was overdue.
Let’s hope they replace the burned cars with North American stuff. It may turn out to be a good business model for Detroit.

Nom, the last thing we want to do is clean up our hippies,they lend a certain ambiance to our fairest city, sort of like, ummm…hell.
Beside, our latest Mayor, Sam Sullivan, has proven to be like our last mayor, now Senator, Larry Campbell, talk lots, do little. Political philosophy doesn’t exist in B.C., we substitute a laid back pragmatism, do nothing, then rest.
