Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Some of the exterior designs of these vehicles are nice. I like Honda/Acura but not as an EV, ever.
I especially like the design of the Chev BrightDrop utility van. I wouldn’t consider it as an EV but put a little Hino (or rebranded Archion) type diesel in there and it’d outsell the POS Ford utility van which needs the undercarriage disassembled when the brakes need to be replaced. Actually fleets may still buy the POS Ford utility van, but individuals spending their own money would buy the Chev BrightDrop powered by a 2 litre mini Hino.
The Sony/Honda Afeela-1 … I feel ya … is stylish. Too bad it probably never penciled out as no one would pay the cost of batteries that could actually get you SOMEWHERE and back, without reading Tom Sawyer cover-to-cover while waiting at the Sony Play-recharge-Station.

Agree 100%. I mentioned this here a couple weeks ago, adding that I couldn’t understand why they don’t bother putting that same coolness energy into designing ICE vehicles – their bread and butter. Really stupid if you ask me.
there’s a business opportunity here. a conversion kit, yank the batteries out, design a gasoline or diesel fueled generator to fit in the space, the necesary electronics and voila, the advantages of electric power and the reliability and range of hydrocarbon fuel. otherwise what’s the scrap value of these paperweights?
They can be used to start bonfires.
It’s already happened.

Boy! I just hope none of this affects blubber douggie’s plans for those battery plants! You know, the ones where he “invested” our billions with his bunk-buddy turdo.
Pragmatism’s Time Has Come.
Not giving a F what they look like.
OTOH … I am a lover of beauty in all its manifestations. And the mere existence of the Nissan Leaf (Puhleeze) on our roadways degrades the byways and highways.
