  1. Stephen Harper is a bald faced, liar.

There in NO ONE in the independence movement that thinks that sticking with this pustulant, syphilitic, dying leach that is hell bent on economic suicide will allow Alberta to be free and prosper.
Yes, Stephen, sure, we’ll be better off sending billions to Quebec, buying dairy at three times the price it should be, stifling our only productive industries while the rest are killed off, imposing censorship, denying any form of electoral equality. Sure, a leader in the independence movement believes that. Give us the name or maybe that person can just come forward.

Flame away, I’m going to bed

With you 100%, Chris. Harper was a huge disappointment once in office.

  2. wandering around the links, get a load of this. apparently AI is running the wall street journal now.

    skill test Q: if there’s ‘nothing to the story’ where the h-e-hockey sticks did it . . . did it . . . . . . . . . originate?
first there was nothing whatsoever in the WSJ about this, then there was, here it is again, WHAT tip, tidbit, source, brown paper bag, WHATEVER caught the attention of the reporter???
something from nothing reporting. how then can we trust anything in said w s j ??

  3. Saw Harper and Chretien on the news, the latter looks to be about a century old now. Whatever those two are for, I am against. Makes it easy enough.

“You’ll be lost without us supervising,” seems to be the eastern elitist approach to Alberta secession. But of course that’s the reason there is a secession movement. Supervising just means stealing in this case.

British Columbians inland from the coast are secondary examples of the same phenomenon, except they get it from both sides, coast and back east. I’m sure it’s the same for SK and perhaps for parts of Manitoba also.

Alberta probably wouldn’t want to take on too many extra passengers but a larger area than just Alberta alone is in the same boat and could prosper to a greater degree by being in the new boat, if that comes to pass. I suspect it won’t because Carney seems smart enough to realize that major concessions are needed to keep this pot from boiling over. Justin never got it, and nobody ever said he held the job because of intellect. Poilievre also might be able to come up with leadership that would keep Alberta from walking out. I would imagine there are a few undecideds in the mix who would prefer to stay if they didn’t feel like they were being hosed all the time. But the hosing is deeply ingrained in the Laurentian psyche. If they didn’t have western Canada to look down on, they might develop introspection, a fatal condition for liberals.

The time for concessions is long gone. As in, too f’ing late. The ROC can KMHUA.

  4. The structural changes that will have to be put inplace post Alberta separation would go a long way to preserving Canada if instituted before separation. Without the threat and/or deed of separation nothing will change, the unity deal with Quebec after their separation vote worked, strengthening Quebec but weakening the rest of Canada. Quebec will never accept any changes to the deal they have, they would never accept being just another province.
It was nice while it lasted.

some of the comments were good too

This could be “What the World (and our Global Worshipping Home Grown Idiots) Gets Wrong about America”
    My thoughts:
Madam, why are you coming to my country for an abortion? And, you do realize we have legal dark skinned people, right? As a marbleized American myself, I can attest to this and am a bit put off by your attitude…white bread.
“America doesn’t deserve good PR” — and I don’t deserve to be assaulted by your Klingon-esque forehead; Phil Collins, is that your son?
Sir, we don’t have any obligation to kowtow to uppity, smug foreigners who have forgotten the pillars of Western civilization or who just want to boss us around in general. And yes, we on the whole do hold rather more ‘old-fashioned’ views here — tradition can be a valuable thing. No apologies.
Yes, yes, armed civilians! Scary, awful!!! At the same time: frightening law enforcement trying to enforce the law. Also scary and awful! You should stay far, far away from us; don’t ever come to my country, please. Trust me, we will not be paying you to come here.
I really wish the World Cup wasn’t being hosted here; you Canadians can have all of it.
I can kinda see Minneapolis as Stalingrad on the prairie though…I think more Beijing, but po-tay-toe/po-tah-toe. Nobody wants to conquer it though, except for Somalis, there’s your sign…my God, what an ugly coat…
We’re aggressive! Yes! Boo! — again, yes, stay away sitzpinkler. Also: Our Orange Trumpenfurher demands you as sacrifice to our American gods…run! in a direction away from our borders please
    Is that a man???

We need to seriously control visa entry from Britain and Europe (and Canada) into the United States and possibly consider an exchange of people: they get our lefty loveys, who they will no doubt prefer; we get any of their native citizens who go against this grain…

    1. “we get any of their native citizens who go against this grain…”

      I volunteer to be first.

          1. The first time was being in possession of a small amount of marijuana in my car that was given to me by a friend as a parting gift before I moved to Alberta.

The second time was because I fell in love with the “wrong” girl, namely the daughter of the staff sergeant of the RCMP detachment in Cochrane. We were returning from a evening out in Calgary and the cops were waiting for us on the outskirts of town.

Anyway, I was being sorta jocular about wanting to move to the US as Poland, where I have a lot of family members, is the most likely choice. BTW, although my heart is in Alberta I live in Europe.

  6. Love or Harpo must have got flushed down the shitter.
Good laff fokes, thanks for that. I never liked that bible pounding IDIOT, but held my nose and voted against the libtards.

    1. May I recommend a line from that Bible you seem to despise so much:
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers.’” Matthew 7:21-23

If you’re going to hate something so much, berate it so much, then you really should learn it first. Just a thought.
PS. you never got back to me about the problems with Bible thumpers; I’m…disappointed.

  7. Canada is NOT an energy superpower …

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WJPgfGsxyE

A bunch of professors from Eastern Canada telling the country it is not an energy superpower. In French.

And they did this on unceded land owned by the Algonquin Indians.

The fact that the first dimwit started with electricity exports and not crude oil or natural gas … “Canada is expected to remain a second tier player” in exported natural gas.

Canada’s oil production “is not well diversified”. “It is difficult to see how private pipeline projects connecting Alberta crude oil [to the coast] could get off the ground”.

    OMFG these people are dense.

Yes it is, actually. The general public has turned on you.

  8. TOUSI TV Feb 4
Things are hot for UK PM Keir Starmer as Epstein file releases bring recently resigned Labour Party member and former Ambassador to the US, Peter Mendelson under intense scrutiny. At issue is Mendelson’s alleged leaking of classified UK documents to Epstein and Epstein’s alleged ties to Putin. Exploding today in UK Parliament. One of the issues is what did Starmer know and when did he know it.
Russia Russia Russia seems to be making a comeback with a different cast in the lead roles. Thank you Democrats, Rep T. Massie and former Rep Marjorie Green for your focused attention on Epstein and demands for the Epstein files release.
Starmer, Mendelson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor thank you, too.

    1. There’s something about the Crown Princess of Norway, too. The Epstein Files, the gift that keeps on giving.

  9. Breaking on Tousi TV. The U.S. – Iran talks have collappsed, with Iran walking out. Tousi gave evidence that both sides are speeding up war preparations. No internet links available yet. The WTI oil price, from today vs yesterday, went from a 0.3% increase at 10 am to 2.6% at 3 pm.

  10. Billie Elisha, the fans just getting started – LOL
“If you’ve ever heard any horror stories about how difficult it can be to secure an eviction in Democrat-run locales, you get some idea of what a fierce attorney Sinai must be.”
“All that is why, when Avi says he’ll represent the indigenous Tongva people pro bono, should they decide to try to reclaim the stolen land where Eilish’s $2.3 million Glendale mansion sits, you’ve got to sit up and pay attention.”
