Brian Zinchuk: If you’re serious, put your Grandma’s old folks home on the prioritized list to turn the lights off in January
Update: Honestly, I didn’t plan this. But 12 hours after I posted the column, this happened:
Alberta wind generation falls to 0.12% capacity late Wednesday night

I thought they were putting a bunch of windmills up in the Weyburn area to fix the problem?
Careful now…any conversation with “turning the lights off” and “old folks” will perk up the ears of a MAID healthcare professional.
L – Brian, that is a good moral argument. However, the “Climate Crisis” and having to protect the earth goddess Gaia is a reversion to pagan religion. The indoctrination here for a generation is so deep. It’is treated as blasphemy. The reaction is “How dare you!”.
Recently, the Open Line that features you once a month, had Peter Prebble on his high horse about climate change threatening humanity. That same program will not likely feature Dr Patrick Watson, a science PhD, fonder of Greenpeace, who, in an interview with Prof. Jordan Peterson explains clearly why the demonization of CO2 is not based on science.
True understanding takes longer than the few minutes you’re allotted. But if you support your moral argument with one or two inconvenient facts. Then you may take some wind out of the sails of the blowhards. 🙂
