Bank of Canada is not the only government agency using the services of Morneau Shepell, the Sun has learned.
At least four other federal departments and agencies have ongoing contracts with Morneau Shepell, the human resources firm formerly run by Finance Minister Bill Morneau.
The accumulated value of these various contracts is about $14 million.
A spokesperson from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) confirmed that it has eight different contracts with Morneau Shepell, with a total value of $2.3 million. The largest contracts are for employee assistance programs, providing benefits and workplace perks for CRA workers in Quebec, the Prairie Region and at CRA headquarters in Ottawa.

The Finance Minister’s family firm which he has not quite gotten around to disassociating from, signs contracts with the National Bank and several other government entities. Is this some third world kleptocracy we are describing? Well not quite, it is the elected Liberal government of Canada.
Really Morneau has to go, Trudeau Jr, Butts, even Mary Dawson, no one can save him now. What part of Ethics do Liberals have such problems comprehending?
LPC power depends on it’s Keybake constituency for power, not it’s Ontario constituency.
Keybake electing the NDP to official opposition demonstrated that. Orange Crush. LPC 3rd party status for the first time.
Ontario can be expected to elect conservatives to a majority of it’s federal seats, sometimes.
When was the last time Keybake elected conservatives to a majority of it’s seats? Mulroney? Rare occurrence.
And then Mulroney’s right hand man split and created the Bloc which siphoned off LPC seats. Something to think about.

Under the circumstances, a blind trust was never an option. Morneau should have sold his shares in the family firm on day one. By not acting, Morneau has left himself only one option: resignation. It won’t happen though. Morneau thinks the rules apply to the little people. He can’t be trusted to do the right thing.
