Jews remain the leading target of hate crimes in Canada though they are less than one percent of the population, new federal figures confirmed yesterday.
Police data indicated Jews were the target of 920 hate crimes last year, more than Blacks (873 crimes), LGBTQ people (658), South Asians (321), Arabs (310), Muslims (229), Catholics (61) or Indigenous Canadians (59). Jews number 335,000 in Canada, less than 0.9 percent of the population, according to Census figures.

It’s been constant. One thing after another. Protests in front of Jewish daycares, schools, hospitals, Jewish businesses disrupted and Jewish neighbourhoods and community centres, synagogues firebombed. UN condemns Israel. UNRWA hires HAMAS members to distribute aid and looks the other way while it’s stolen and fenced back to the people it’s supposed to be given to. These HAMAS lovers even re-enct the “martydom” of the man responsible for planning and executing the Oct 7th massacre. CBC uncritically reports everything the HAMAS run Palestinian Health Authority says as if they are paragons of virtue while when reporting on Israel they use terms like “Israelis deny.” And then on the right the likes of Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens spew horrid lies about Israel. Even Canadian Jewish children being harassed in Canadian schools while Canadian teachers do nothing.
I’m not sure why a tiny minority is under constant attack for defending themselves. At least in the USA some people, led by Trump, are fighting back against the oldest hatred. In Canada? The smell of Muslim Brotherhood money and votes mean no Jew is safe in Canada.
Short answer…nothing new under the sun.

There’s an interesting dynamic to “hate crimes” against Muslims. If you research the articles written about it there is one thing that keeps popping up that you don’t see in “hate crimes” against other demographics.
“Backlash”
Almost all the examples provided in the articles are referenced as being a response to something “other” Muslims did elsewhere. Oct. 7th (Hamas) 9/11 and the like. I found that interesting and thoroughly ignored by the press. Also, there seems to be an inordinate number of “hate crimes” that boil down to someone calling someone else a derogatory name.
And, BTW, there is no such thing as a “hate crime.” There is crime, of course. Name calling is not a crime (or shouldn’t be). And, until someone gains the evolved power to read minds and confirm intent, the concept of “hate crime” is nonsense.
There is no such thing as “islamophobia”. It’s a term invented by the Muslim Brotherhood to shut down legitimate criticism of islam (and boy is there a lot to criticize about that sociopolitical cult masquerading as a religion!)
Situational awareness of Muslims at all times is an essential survival tactic.
