  1. Thirty years ago, the German auto workers funded Greenpeace through payroll deduction. Today, they look to Greta Thunberg for salvation as they face immanent energy poverty, freezing in the dark, economic collapse and possible starvation. They will likely pillage their forests this coming winter to keep from freezing to death. Ironically, as they were financing Greenpeace, that premier source of environment hysteria was telling everyone that there were no more trees left in BC.

    1. Germany has been the EU Hot house of Eco radicalism since the ’60’s….those same enlightened long haired freaks of yesteryear, now occupy the seats of power…let them wear what they have sown over the past 60+ years…

Sympathy can be found where again…???

      1. Sympathy? For a people who will embrace every evil ideology that comes their way? The national socialists of yesteryear were simply replaced by eco-socialists. Just as damaging, just as filled with radical twatwaffles, and just as deserving of eradication. I have a cousin in Germany who keeps harping on about the beauty and benefits of EVs and will argue with anyone on social media who dares question the feasibility of an EV-filled tomorrow. I still haven’t worked out the courage to ask him where he thinks the electricity to charge them will come from. He’s my only male cousin and I’d rather not break contact permanently.

        1. I Too have ex Dutch relatives… all enamoured with Euro MultiCult BS.
…when I casually mentioned that Gert Wilders should Run the country (Holland), Bamn was instantly “unfriended” amidst accusations of racism etc.

Let em FREEZE in the dark…..
I could care less… triple Boosted imbeciles they most likely are…

As for Sympathy, the only place they’ll find it is the dictionary…between Shit n Syphilis.

    1. The leftist EU and idiots running NATO will claim Trump simply “gave Putin the idea” to exploit his energy stranglehold over Europe. Yep … “Trump did it”. Russia OWNS Trump. They must have blackmail information on Trump … you know, like the ChIComs have on Feeble old Joe … via Hunters laptop … and worse.

    2. Reagan ( 1980’s ) warned Germany with the Yamal pipeline. Stalled it for a few years.

  2. The “elasticity” of the ruble has pulled in one direction only. Higher and higher. Well done EU and your partner in crime, Joe confused Bidinh. Brilliant!

    1. The Europeans will have to de-mothball their nuclear plants or its going to get chilly,

      1. You can’t really “mothball” a nuclear plant. Once they are decommissioned they are finished. It would take billions of euros and at least half a decade to get them up and running again.

Instead, they dig for coal and burn it again.

I hope the Germans (and Italians and the French) choke on the fumes of their 21st Century version of the “Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact.”

  3. Before saskpower decided to build the carbon capture project at BDPS, coal gasification was the other contender. Coal gasification produces syngas. One of the chemists involved thought gasification was superior to carbon capture. In the end being able to sell the C02 from carbon capture to oil companies for enhanced oil recovery in old fields tipped the balance in its favor.

Germany obviously has lots of coal so shouldn’t coal gasification be a viable option, especially if they’re determined to get rid of nuclear power plants? Syngas is cleaner than burning coal, reduces reliance on hostile foreign governments, is likely cheaper and more reliable than LNG imports. And the EU recently declared natgas and nuclear as clean energy sources.

It won’t help them this winter,of course, but at some point Germany and Europe have to get serious about energy affordability and reliability. Gasification and nuclear are their “cleanest” options to increase baseload power.

    1. Freezing millions to death is an option that some rulers obviously find acceptable.

      1. Don’t get too cocky.

The Libranos could easily sell “your” oil to Europe this winter.

Regardless, the Libranos are coming for you, sooner or later.

        1. The Liberals have no way to transport “our” oil anywhere useful for exportation.
They’re too busy moving ant-hills and hummingbird nests to actually build the one pipeline expansion they currently own.

  4. Vladimir Lenin once said that the West would sell to the communist the rope that the West would be hung with. Now that the communists have adopted a form of capitalism, the new motto is that the west will buy the rope that they are hung with.

    1. What Lenin didn’t realise was that the same people would also donate him the money to buy the rope.

    1. Almost entirely. I believe that horrid and life-saving practice is rearing its ugly head again in the UK, though. Acceptance of the “green” option of freezing to death is apparently not universally accepted.

      1. Poorly-designed hydraulic fracturing does sometimes cause earthquakes.
Earthquakes so small that you need sophisticated equipment to detect them.

  5. Every day I pray those thankless socialist morons starve, freeze to death, or get lined up against a wall by their betters. You’ll find I have no f*cks to give those sorry buggers. Europe will be better off once Russian tanks find the Portuguese coast. At least the Russians won’t piss in their face and tell them it’s raining.

  6. Humanitarian crisis? In Europe?
Next thing you know they’ll be fighting each other, but I still won’t give a frack.

    1. Well, if you define a people by the behavior of their governments, I guess Canada is ripe for the gas chambers, and other reasonable nations, like Russia, Uganda and Syria can enjoy some shadenfreude as Canadians are herded onto boxcars.

      1. I’ll be one of the guys in black Hugo Boss duds doing the herding.

  7. The EU and their Green self inflicted insanity can go freeze in the dark. I hope the citizens hunt them down and hang them all.
Then we will point to that and as a gesture of good will tell sock puppet to vacate the PMO in 24 hours or else.

    1. Its not self inflicted, there in the EU or here in Canada. It is being done to us with malice aforethought.
If you believe otherwise, well, they’ve got you right where they want you.

    1. Democracy has failed. Now what?
Of course, AnCapistan is outta the question.
Just because you “good government” aholes are stupid enough to buy whatever patent medicine some huckster manages to make popular doesn’t give you the right to force me to swallow it.

        1. I’m sure you are.
Tell me, where are the free-market security and arbitration companies in Illinois, where are the local charters and its enforcers? They had then in ancient Rome, FFS!
The authorities rely on your confusion, and you never fail to come through.

          1. That’s good that you can read my mind and determine everything that I am thinking and everything I’m going to say. You already know every opinion that I have.
It saves me even having to be here.

            Carry on.
Let me know when you’re done.

            Good dog!

  8. The Left: “Communism is a great idea, its just never been properly implemented.”
The Right: “Government is a great idea, its just never been properly implemented.”

    The difference is negligible.
If you wanna point guns at innocent folk who have harmed no-one, then you are the bad guy.
The man who sells guns to folk is harming no-one.
The man who sells drugs to folk is harming no-one.
When it comes to inanimate things like guns, drugs or booze, people can only use them to harm themselves or others, inanimate things are inanimate, and can’t harm anything.
Going after things instead of people is easy to sell.

  9. Maybe the Watermelons and scammers will be turfed out for having effed up and sensible energy policies be followed. Those are fossil fuels and a gradual devlopment of nuclear power over the next 200 years.

  10. The take-away here is that governments should fear the people, not tell them what they should do.

  11. Well now, a true humanitarian disaster would only affect true humans, wouldn’t it? So, I’ve just got time to disqualify myself!
