Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

i play bass….this guy blows me away with each videio
Have you ever heard of Pinback? Or Armistead Burwell Smith IV?
https://youtu.be/hmaJ-kYUJv8
He plays his bass like it were a Fender Stratocaster … using the bass for melody. I love his playing … and I love Pinback. Music genre? “Math rock”. And I love Armistead’s Stanley Clarke Alembic bass-es
A very typical Armistead bass part (covered) … guitar-like … melodic chord progressions …

he should just play a banjo, damn near same sound!
The opening of this reminded me of Chris Rea.
Motorway to Hell is pretty damn appropriate for today.
I think the headline should be “poppin`” rather than “popin'”. Of course, I could be wrong, I mean, the guy could be Catholic or something, but still.
Exactly. I’ve always thought that “popin'” was what Pope Francis has been doing for the past nine years. Unfortunately, what he has produced is far more discordant than the music on the video. Come to think of it, he’s done his share of “slidin'” and “slappin'” as well.
About a year ago I heard somebody playing a baritone six string. Now I want one, but I’m saving for a seven string.
I didn’t know my retirement would be so complicated.
