I have no qualms saying I am against people coming to my country because (unlike 100+ years ago) they aren’t coming to build a better life for their family through hard work, they are coming expecting to be handed a better life through government entitlements.
I have not been back to my home in Sudbury Ontario since 2017. Outside of 6 hours driving through Ontario in 2023, I have not set foot back in Canada. Long time friends of mine have advised me not to go back, telling me it has gone so downhill from what we had 30 years ago will make you angry and cry. They tell me remember the place we grew up in, not the cesspool it has become.
Financial impoverishment and serfdom is more tolerable than negotiating with capitalists.
