  1. One thing’s for sure, with the abundance of free time that will be on everybody’s hands, the AWFLs will get even more…….AWFUL. Possibly breaking the back of civilization itself.

  2. I don’t understand the argument that Canada needs enormous numbers of immigrants because the population is otherwise diminishing and no one will be here to do the work. I thought robots and AI were going to create unemployment because workers weren’t needed any more. A contradiction of messages.

However, the powers that be do need taxpayers and, more importantly, consumers.

  3. You’ll do what you’re told.
Stay within your 15 minute community, do what you’re told – be nice, eat what’s prescribed – soy and bugs, enjoy what little you have and most of all – keep smiling, or the AI world will not smile with you.

  4. “What work will humans do when AI can do anything?”

Most of us are here to serve and provide for most of us.
The Elites don’t need us anymore, so they want us dead instead of using up their resources.
Bill Gates said that they only need 100 million of out of the 7 billion that live today.

  5. There are 2 MAID “programs” in Canada.
The medically assisted murder one, and the Malevolent Illegal Addictive Drug one on the streets of every town and city, which mostly kills young white men.

  6. The first thing AIs will do that can do anything humans can and do it better will be to finally rid their creators of their human slaves.

The extermination of the human race and its replacement with drudges who promise to make better socialists than humans ever could is not a risk posed by the AI revolution. It’s the whole goddamn point of it. If our masters still thought we were a useful resource to be exploited they might do a better job of getting us to reproduce. No indeed. We’ve becone the problem to be solved.

Our masters are convinced that the “meat puppets” are using up resources that could be used to explore strange new worlds or whatever other sci-fi clichés our betters should have left for dead in the comic books most of us grew out of when our voices started breaking. The meek will only be suffered to inherit an Earth useless as anything but a mass grave.

    1. Pretty close to what I think on the subject.
They’ll be using drones to hunt those of us too smart to queue up for an injection.

      1. you betcha oz. and when that drone comes at ya, it will be me at the controls having tracked you down and then a big thud into your cockiness head. know it was ***ME*** did it.

        1. So, you’re a bot.
I knew that verbal diarrhea couldn’t have come from a human, no matter how lazy or miseducated.

  7. well l got that one covered. the inordinate masses of unemployed will be set up in a distributed tech support system, the task to guide the small remnant of working stiffs thru the incomprehensible maze of interconnected AI systems.
or there gonna be some pretty big tent cities somewhere.

  8. I can hardly wait for the emails offering to pay me to interact with AI. I’ll make a fortune.

  9. Personally … I just want to know if the ever-consolidating mega-corporations will pay enough taxes to fund my government pension? Will they replace the the bottom of the pyramid workers who pay my pension?

Yeah Kate … you’re right … the only mathematical answer is to eliminate me.

  10. Corporations can’t help themselves. They will optimize their bottom line and hire jeets to program the AI. It will be garbage. Game companies are finding this out now, gigabytes of code that is trash. Ugly characters. Everything having to be re-done. Give the DHL AI a try if you think AI is about to control the world. To the question “why is my parcel late”, it could not answer and asked me to repeat using different words. Then it argued it is still learning. I did this 3 times over 5 days, same response.
