If he was looking for a country where he could … avoid “the prevalence of anti-Black racism.” … why wouldn’t he choose a black majority nation … such as South Africa? or Kenya? maybe Cuba?

If you were in the UK, a comment like that could get you a visit from the police to question you about your thinking. They would call it a “non-crime hate incident”, which would garner you a 2 year custodial sentence, “because someone could have taken offense to your statement.” But I live in the Great White North and fully agree with you. Obviously we are racist and are blessed with white privilege, despite all the black and brown people I know, doing better than I.

Should have listened to all the Liberal politicians in Canada, McGuinty, Trudeau, Wynn et al said there is no doubt Canada is systemically racist, even if you aren’t aware.
