“There is a field of solar panels on the roof. That’s really where the fire was. It was a surface fire on the solar panels,” LAFD Chief Jaime Moore told NBCLA.

Soon to be fired LAFD Fire Chief

Uh yeah … our Fire Codes need to mandate Fire Sprinklers along with every solar panel installation … no matter how small. Because yes … MY homeowners insurance rates will be going UP again … because of this massive CA Fire Loss.

    1. Sprinklers and electricity are not the best choice…

Also, isn’t it time for you to move elsewhere?

      1. My bad … fire fighting foam … Halon? Nah … that only works in enclosed clean rooms.
OTOH … the LAFD just dumped about 30 million gallons of water on the solar panel fire. Just sayin.

    1. (pssst, dont tell anybody. rumour is she was visiting the factory on business, just saying)

  2. Who would have thought that buying your solar panels from a country known for it’s lack of ethics and integrity in business and no quality control to speak of, would have consequences. Spoke to a buyer who bought steel from China and he said they would lie to your face and their products had to be constantly checked. The first shipment might be OK, but subsequent ones wouldn’t.

    1. Not sure where your friend bought steel..i was in China last week and they are so far advanced in everyway its not funny. From steel to tvs to EV,s to tyres the factories and R&D facilities are world class. If i could speak Mandarin id live there. Clean, safe and monocultural. That last bit being the reason why they are so successful. And before you reply, apart from the Uhgyurs, noone is cowering in fear. Happy, friendly and go about their business with less regulation than anything we have to put up with. Just sayin.

        1. Whatever. That was a long time ago. Been going there for 15yrs or so for business reasons and the improvements have been astronomical. Your opinion is based on what you have fed in the media. Fwiiw, been travelling to Vancouver for over 25 yrs annually and seen that city go backwards.

    2. “The first shipment might be OK, but subsequent ones wouldn’t.”

This is a culturally imbedded practice in China. The term for it is Quality Fade.

Yes. Lying is also a Chinese cultural practice.
Lying is prevalent in all Asian cultures and is the result of the Asian cultural phenomenon of “Saving Face”.
Most Chinese would rather die than lose face. This results in lying as easily as breathing in their interactions with Westerners who cannot conceive of the importance of “saving face” and do not understand how to avoid arriving at a crossroad in their interaction which would cause the loss of face.

For many decades, the Liberal Party of Canada has lied to Canadians about the immigrants from cultures other than Christian Western cultures as having the same values. They do not and many never will.
These cultures are not the same to the point of being incompatible and even destructive of our culture.
This is a feature, not a bug. The intent is to divide and conquer, creating a “post-national” Global soup that can be ruled over with an iron fist so as to make it possible for the Elites to kill all of us except for about 100 million slaves.

When Britain leased Hong Kong for 100yrs from the Chinese and ruled it with English law, they did not use the practice of “swearing in” the accused in court if they were Chinese because it was understood that the accused would lie as a cultural imperative.

Quality Fade is what a Brand gets when it seeks to get low labor costs in Asia.
The fade will happen with each production lot getting more and more faded in quality.
This is done to recoup the cost of the manufacturer making the lowest bid to win the contract.
The end result will be damage or even destruction of the Brand which hired the Asian manufacturer.
      Too bad so sad.

In our culture lying is a vice and not to be tolerated.

      1. ha ha ha l used to ‘joke’ with stuff made in chirer its the customer provides quality control.

ah little did l know. now everyone does !!! tq premier xi making us part of the production process.
we done got all them jobs back ha ha ha

  3. And all now toxic waste, costing a s-ton of money to properly dispose. Take a bow “environmentalists”. lol

  4. ?
    lm confoosed.
l swear the Californicate fire fighting strategy amounted to ‘let it burn’,
so why the trucks and chopper?

      1. Based on their previous performance the LAFD have been saving the water “for a rainy day”.

  5. The cause of the fire remains unknown. And what are the chances the cause of the fire will remain unknown?

  6. I wonder what the weather was and if there had been lightning that day.
It did start on the roof.

  7. Whenever you see these fires where the building(s) are almost completely engulfed, 99% chance they are deliberately set.
