1. I have 5 grocery stores within a 30 minute walk of my home and I’ve never seen anything like that. What kind of hell hole is she living in? Toronto?

   And that’s because the big problem for Conservatives in Canada right now is that there are 2 types with no reconciliation between the two: those who like Trump and those who don’t. Just like in covid time: pro-vaccine and anti-vax.
   Probably those of us who still like Trump and US even after 51st state, Greenland etc brouhahas are not that many. But this rift within Conservatives is enough for Librano$ to have the upper hand.

3. A high trust society can only exist if the rules and rights of that society are enforced. I choose the word ‘enforced’ because it points to a fact: we say that certain rights are inherent, and that means that the state is obligated to use force to keep them so. The individual plays a role in there too — the individual agrees to abide by the law and bears the responsibility to uphold it so that the state doesn’t have to enforce.
   You have no rights without the safeguard of force. That is a part of the old rules that people used to understand; high time you re-learn this. When the law is not enforced, becomes lawless even, you have no rights. Copybook headings and all that.

   1. There are no such tags here in CA where shoplifting is now sanctioned by the government as voted by the people. We are a high trust society … we trust that shoplifters will take what they need. Because we’re compassionate or something. What would Jesus do to shoplifters … right?
