Seems like a lot of steps go into not building a pipeline.
Here is a breakdown of the most important parts of Danielle Smith's deal with Mark Carney aka MOU between Alberta and Canada:
* will make a pipeline a National Interest Project – "if"
* one or more pipeline.
* clean electricity regulations will be suspended – the best part of…— Kirk Lubimov (@KirkLubimov) November 27, 2025
Told ya so: The fundraising emails are already flying.
Eby’s NDP party put out a fundraising email Thursday morning slamming Ottawa and Alberta for undertaking negotiations on a new pipeline project without involving B.C. and saying the province will fight to make sure it isn’t built.
Time to change the locks on Alberta, Premier Smith.
Green lining: Guilbeault resigns
A carbon tax increase is guaranteed, though.

None of this deal placates those who want to separate from tier 2 Canada, in fact the net zero idiocy galvanizes us.
I expect our AB provincial gov’t will say, “look, we have an agreement on xx and x” … even while the many other issues are intact. There could be 50 issues worth separating for, and if tier 2 Canada agreed to 49 of them, we’re still not going to be quiet about it.
Said it before and I’ll say it again. Alberta needs to separate.
This is a nothing burger. Correction, this is a slap in the face to Danielle Smith and every Albertan. These are Alberta’s resources, not Canada’s. We are being extorted by climate hoaxes and indigenous threats for the simple luxury of being “allowed” to sell our own F’ing products.
I’m more than a little disappointed in Smith right now, but she’s trapped in the corner she painted herself into. Carney outplayed her and she had to claim it as a win.
As long as we remain in Canada we will always be a vassal state.
“…the province [BC] will fight to make sure it isn’t built.”
But hell to the yes, of course they will. And the Centralized Imbecile Collection of Toronto will do the same, choking off any oil project, mining project, logging project or manufacturing project that comes along.
And they will KEEP DOING IT while you starve.
The Feds can opver-ride provincial protests on trade and transport.
To paraphrase the last post-nation Shithole Prime Minister – the gay and black imbecile – “If you kill them, you win.”
Even better, enrich your O&G appreciative Indian partners to war on the coastal slavers until they’re wiped off the map.
Carney’s Colonizers can’t get in the way of an Aboriginal War – its racist.
It is a nothing burger with a side order of bovine excrement. Remember the goal. This is ideological obfuscation at best. Down with tyrants like Carney and his clown show.
We should pipeline our oil through USA to the Pacfic Coast and bypass the drooling imbeciles in the BC government. A simple solution because I am a simple person. I am sure there are more reasons against it than Musk has dollars, but what the hey. The Gordian knot solution worked for Alexander, so maybe.
I see two glaringly obvious facts here:
1 – This agreement extracts promises and commitments from both Alberta and the federal government and may well, at least on paper, represent the best outcome possible given the fragmentation of interests and the inherent difficulty of dealing with a multiple competing agendas; and,
2 – there is nothing positive here for Alberta or Saskatchewan. The only commitments the federal government is either willing or able to honor here are those involving increased tax and/or regulatory burdens.
As a result I see only one good choice for Smith et al: a government sponsored referendum asking for authority to negotiate an agreement on economic union with the U.S. to be voted on if some defined set of conditions for federal government action are not acted on by some specified date like July 4th, 2026. This would be an easy win because it appeals to both those who want to stay and those who want to go – and puts the federal government in a position where a failure to act destroys the country.
L – Danielle Smith is being played by a ruthless conman. Some Agents of Chaos from Ottawa and other lairs have slithered into the Premier’s office. If Alberta caves, so will Saskatchewan, Moe is out his depth and needs her to lead. Otherwise, the future is predictable.
Industrial Psychology notes that, generally speaking, 10% of the employees create 50% of the productivity. Canada’s standard of living is falling, even now. The high performance Canadians can and will move to the U.S. so, at least in some states, they can afford to marry, raise a family, and choose to send their children to schools, where they won’t twist their minds and morals upside down. Add in having Constitutional Rights, something now only a memory of 20th Century Canada.
Under Mexican levels of corruption, C.C.P. levels of surveillance, Soviet levels of governance and six months of cold, ice and snow. When you’re stranded on the highway in a blizzard by your 3rd hand electric vehicle and sideswiped by a big rig driven by A.I. and you’d leave but … capital controls prevent you from taking more than $5,000.00 out of the country. Then the only easy way out is that offer of free M.A.I.D. sent to monthly in your Member of Parliaments newsletter…
The ghost of Christmas future in “A Christmas Carol” is what may be, not what must be !
Alberta will get a pipeline when it has a military large enough to clear a route to the Pacific.
Less than 10 years ago, the BC commies fought a long, expensive, losing battle against the TMX project.
The decision was decisive by the SC.
And so, what does a good old NDPer do?
Let’s fight the losing battle again!
Their strategy is cynical. The plan is to delay, delay, delay the project, in a mythical strategy of Hopium, to elect an NDP government in Alberta and/or Ottawa, which will kill the project.
Yes, this is the drug induced NDP lunacy.
All the while, spending OPM to monkey wrench the project as much as possible.
They are Evil.
This MOU reads more like a green scheme nightmare, riddled with unattainable emission hurdles. My gut feeling is, Danielle is being duped and the entire thing is an sly effort to tone down and possibly stop the Alberta Prosperity Project & the 51st State referendum.
Carney is trying to make everyone happy and is pissing everyone off.
Libs say they are trans positive, but not when it’s Trans-Mountain.

The only trans they are positive for have two tits and a dick
My next comedy trio, Two Tits and a Dick.
This is as bad as I feared. Smith’s only hope is that the Liberal government falls soon.
is this still going to be talked about in, oh, say, 2100?
will the largest conversation be about regulating matches and lighters and their role in global warming?
