“What is the plan to pay back the 78 billion dollars borrowed in this budget?”
When I borrow money at the bank that sort of repayment question seems to be important.
No prob. They’ll just print up some more money & pay w/ that.
When a liberal or NDP government offers a budget you should:
1 – trust them to carry out any promised tax increases;
2 – treat the majority of the estimates as “last year’s numbers plus some more” – done by the bureaucracy and completely unrelated to policy;
3 – see “investment” promises as payola
4 – treat any promised savings with the derision history says they deserve.
5 — turn off the TV, intertoobs & radio & don’t buy a newspaper ’cause it’ all gonna be lies anyway.
CAPP’s op-ed makes me want to puke. A tongue bath for Carney and the Libranos, followed by an offer to fellate them. Carbon Capture?? The costs of that will certainly keep any of this theoretical investment from happening, opting for jurisdictions that didn’t lose their freaking mind. Broke shithole.
