“…a sweeping criminal enterprise that envelopes both the NBA and La Cosa Nostra”

Fox News;

Kash Patel names multiple high-profile NBA arrests in an alleged illegal gambling ring that spanned years.

More than 30 people were arrested in the case — including current and former NBA stars and suspected members of the American branch of the Sicilian Mafia, La Cosa Nostra.

Patel says the FBI “entered and executed justice” against the crime families including the Bonanno crime family, Gambino crime family, Genovese crime family and Lucchese crime family.

Transcript here.

“I’ll just highlight some of the some of the details in the case and the FBI work, and then you’ll hear from the others. But as you now know, individuals such as Chauncey Billups, Damon Jones and Terry Rozier were taken into custody today, former, current NBA players and coaches. What you don’t know is that this is an illegal gambling operation and sports rigging operation that spanned the course of years. The FBI led a coordinated takedown across 11 states to arrest over 30 individuals today responsible for this case, which is very much ongoing. Not only did we crack into the fraud that these perpetrators committed on the grand stage of the NBA, but we also entered and executed a system of justice against La Cosa Nostra to include the Bonanno, Gambino, Genovese, and Lucchese crime families. And you’ll hear more about those details today.”

  1. holy hannah. all the old mafiosa family names that were in the news 50 years ago.
that wuz before the ‘rumour’ the mafia had faded and lost influence.
what a great cover story l thought. and now 2025 proven correct.

    1. I want to know how many NBA and NFL Referees have been compromised by the cosa nostra? As I have witnessed many ‘Black Sox’ moments that can’t be explained by any other manner.

    2. NBA has been crooked for decades. Look up Salvatore Sollazzo and Sol Levy

The mob has been fixing NBA games for a long time.

  2. No surprise…now do the NFL. It’s been a slow roll for me but I’m convinced more than ever that something is really rotten.
From coaches calling for deep post routes on third and short, outrageous officiating to the Travis Kelce/Taylor Swift superbowl.
At least the WWE knows why it isn’t on the sports betting boards in Vegas.

    1. The MLB systematically allowed its players and baseballs to get juiced … when suddenly … 100 year old records fell to several roided-up players who applied the “clear” and the “cream” on their man-parts. Players who will NEVER be voted into the HoF … ever.

This was the actual League! Juicing up their game in a desperate attempt to woo fans back into the stands after multiple player and management strikes that soured fans. That pretty well put me off American pro sports for good. Now … the only MLB player I can name is Shohei Ohtany. Hahaha ha ha.

      1. This what killed pro baseball for me too.

Indeed they need to look deeper into the referees, not only NFL but NHL too because it’s starting to smell

  3. This reminds me of the “Regina Model”.

…Our City Police; The Chief of Police was having an affair with the girl that helped the 2 Rams players who got charged with fentanyl distribution clean their money. Told her to “scrub all forms of communications” instead she showed all messages to the RPS. Now we put him on PAID LEAVE where we continue to give him $270k/ yearly…

As some are aware, local Regina news has been dealing with a few “maladministrative lapses”. We’ve got the Chief of Police, the University of Regina Students Union, and then on the Provincial front, we have FSIN shenanigans.

  4. Hmmmmm…
A canadian team has not won the Stanley cup in 30 years. Since Gary Bettman became commisar.
    I wonder…

    1. Have you noticed ,in recent years, how many semi final and Stanley Cup final games go the full 7 games?
      Fill them seats, eh?

      1. For sure! And the hockey hot-spots like Florida and Anaheim go home with the silverware.
Hey there are 20,000 fans standing outside of the rink during the games in the canadian citys! What more can you ask for!!

  5. Soccer (world football) is rife with corruption.
Frankly, the betting ads piss me off, but the portions of sports broadcasts devoted to the betting lines makes me furious.
    Fckrightoff.
I don’t watch sports to bet.
All those talking heads eagerly participating – like that c*nt, Wrong Maclean on HNIC- have sold their souls.

    1. I went to the fish market, and I couldn’t figure out what the fish was. Should I be worried, or was I just drunk?

“One victim lost $1.8 million in single rigged poker game, police say
New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said victims lost millions of dollars in rigger poker games.
‘Victims believe that they were sitting at a fair table. Instead, they were cheated out of millions,’ Tisch said.
‘One victim in a part in particular lost $1.8 million. In total, losses exceeded $7 million and continue to climb.’ ”

Here in Alberta, when I get pulled over in a vehicle by the RCMP and I haven’t got a “#Librano Party of Canada” membership card beside my license and registration, proof of insurance” …

I feel as though I’m not sitting at a fair table.

    1. Will people who were cheated out of millions be able to collect from the Five Families? I am guessing not.
