  1. I think it’s a welcome move on the part of the U of R, the 223rd best university in tier 2 Canada, to remove the students union from the premises.
40 years ago, the U of R student’s newspaper used to refer to the SU building as “the only single story concrete block building on campus” as if it was a bad thing, while I thought it’ll be a lot easier to bulldoze the entirety of it while it is of this type construction.
I haven’t heard a reason for continuing its funding, or existence, ever.

  2. l get it now, desai is wondering if he alone might the subject of the investigation.
does that ‘look guilty’? sometimes saying nothing or saying something or saying something to the wrong person or saying something at the wrong time or saying something in the wrong place or etc . . . . . . “doesn’t look good”

  3. Judging from the 2024 Financial report, I’d say they all have something to worry about. I’m not sure I understand why a Student Union is purchasing cars. And, overspending about about $1.3 Million is kind of shady when you know up front what your incoming dues will be. I think these kids went hog wild, thinking there would be no repercussions. I think they assumed, initially, that the RPD wouldn’t get involved, because back in 2012 or 2013 the ex-VP of Finance for the Student Union was caught forging $700 worth of checks, and police never addressed it. Something about a lack of standing.

    1. Every bit of that report is suspect, and it’s not the first year that they have overspent… You also have to question the salaries of all involved, and why they are spending $40k+ on travel for a student government.

  4. Typical cross-section of Saskatchewan ethnicities in that bunch, isn’t there.
Quite a few farm kids too, judging by their tans from working outside in the summer sun.
