  1. There are way to many Gaia worshippers in Canadian government (Guilbeault) or have the ear of government (Butts) and most governments definitely follow the WEF, the UN, and all it’s earth worship too. An added bonus for them is the sucking of tax dollars out of the taxpayers.

    1. “There are way to many Gaia worshippers in Canadian government…”

True enough. But there are far more quivering sheep who let the green arseholes control things.

  2. Here’s what we’ve learned from PG&E … a quasi-public, heavily regulated (supposedly) Utility. We learned that “maintenance” of their infrastructure is boring, tedious, and can be pushed off to the next CEO … because it isn’t good for THIS CEO’s bottom line. And it is so much more politically expedient to put newly increased rates into “clean, green, sustainable” energy that will soon need to be replaced because it has a very short service life.

So the utter lack of proper maintenance resulted in multiple, devastating fires across northern CA. You want my humble opinion? The CEO’s who shirked adequate maintenance need to be FINED, personally, and stripped of their pensions, if not jailed for involuntary manslaughter. That’s what happens when you put a generation or two of spoiled brats who live only for the moment … for the latest shareholder report and to hell with the deterioration of their entire infrastructure. Maintenance is a dull line item on the expense sheet … so we’ll just ignore it.

Same goes for the forests and the government expenditures. Maintenance never gets anyone promoted to Eco-czar.

    1. Forest fire fighting men, equipment and training are way low on government’s priorities. Fire prevention, through logging for paper and lumber, is verboten to too many.

    2. well shucks kenji at least you know what youre in for: south ahfricah.

  3. It’s not just $. It’s enviro philosophy that infects policy. I may have posted this here before, but I know someone who was in a meeting back in 2016 when the Mayor of Jasper asked the feds to do something about the dead and dying trees. The feds said they have a no more intervention policy. 8 years later they blamed climate change.
