A Maine reserve police officer arrested by ICE for allegedly trying to buy a firearm illegally has agreed to leave the country, the agency said.
Jon Luke Evans, a reserve officer with the Old Orchard Beach Police Department, and a Jamaican national, was arrested on July 25 with help from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), according to ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO).
Evans was taken into custody after a firearm purchase attempt raised concerns tied to his immigration status.
l think a foreign national caught with a firearm in my country is an enemy combatant out of uniform and should be turned over to the military for a speedy tribunal and firing squad but l don’t think that opinion is much in line with current society here.
Shrug. Our army already accepts non-citizens. You can bet your bippy our police forces do too.

Maine has a population of approximately 1.38 million people, with a median age of 44.8 years, making it the oldest state in the U.S. The majority of residents are White (90.6%), with smaller percentages of Black or African American (1.63%), Asian (1.1%), and other ethnic groups.
This is a very relevant issue in Canada. In Alberta, there is a recruiting push in the RCMP to hire foreign nationals for policing. Diversity is extremely important to the RCMP, and young men are being offered a PR (permanent residency) for enlisting. This is a good deal for Punjabis, who come from a region where the average annual salary is less than $4K CAD, and who are currently paying Brampton-based Punjabi business owners between $40K and $60K for employer sponsorship to come to rural Alberta as “temporary” foreign workers. TFW fraud currently accounts for 70% of all jobs in Alberta, and I have the numbers to prove it.
Meanwhile, the government of Canada decided after the Freedom Convoy to ideologically purge the ranks of the CAF after a majority of combat veterans sided with the protesters. Vaccine mandates allowed for the removal of over 3300 enlisted men and junior officers, and further “anti-extremism” purges removed many more. It just so happened that this eliminated virtually all combat veterans who had served under fire.
However, the quality of recruits absolutely collapsed in the diversity-driven recruiting that followed, as evidenced by the embarrassing display at the National Cenotaph last Remembrance Day. Many people commented on the fact that over half of Canada’s newly-minted soldiers were in poor physical condition, and appeared incapable of marching in step.
In an effort to improve on the quality of diverse and ideologically acceptable recruits, the CAF has launched a new international recruitment drive, offering a path to citizenship for foreign nationals with military experience.

It’s not coincidental that they are attempting to replace 3500 combat personnel from the mechanized infantry. That’s about the number they purged from the ranks over the past 2 years.
well the RCMP down east has met it’s quota of cowards, looking at the way they ran and hid when the guy went on a rampage a few years ago. The only one with balls was born without them.
