  2. I am friends with a former local news reporter here … she is Indian. And she is one of the top 5 most beautiful women I have EVER laid eyes on. I mean, mind numbing … can’t think of the right words to say … gorgeous. And she speaks perfect English, is smart as a whip, and charming as hell. The WHOLE package.

    Evidently all of those immigrants were unavailable to Canada, and you got to choose from the very bottom of the barrel.

  6. My wife was a departmental student rep for years at another Canadian university. The student associations, especially for graduatre students were hopelessly corrupt doing things like announcing a special meeting on Yom Kippur and then packing the room with fellow Islamists to vote out all the Jewish reps and cut off the funding to the Jewish student association. Lots of weird things happened financially like one fellow from Pakistan taking a single course in history at the first year level getting a $60K a year salary to be a student activist. Probably the same crap going on.

  7. Little late to the party on this one, and uninformed. From what I could pick up, the University first cancelled the ability for the URSU to collect fees/funds because they lost a ton of money somehow, and could (or would) not account for it. I’m not sure why, but it appears as if they bought a car with some of it. But, apparently, that’s just a small portion of the deficit they had.

    So, can someone enlighten me as to what the conventional wisdom is on how they “lost” the money? Embezzlement? Theft? Someone buy Crypto with it for a fast score and Crypto tanked?

    1. The salaries and benefits are $1.5 million in 2024 – an increase of 5%. Board expenses and Travel are $40k an increase of 22% from the previous year.

      All student unions are corrupt and self dealing to some extent.

      Note also that the Owl, which is the student bar space loses money every year, hundreds of thousands of dollars.

    p.s. that was me called you f-tards gloating at the eviction. bastards. l saw the SAME SHYT on Western U London 10 years ago. > 60 age free tuition. l did it until my boy sired a dozen puppies with the tenant’s bull terrier. they increasingly took priority so l gave it up in 2022. the parting shot got me banned but given the public was no longer permitted access to the athletic facility nuthin to lose.

    jeezuz murphy there were days l wanted to scream, puke and punch somebody the way they mangle the truth. and yes, they have co-ed pissers off the main lobby of the student centre. the acid test was a protest against ‘cultural appropriation’ whereupon l was a razor thin distance from demanding they stop appropriating MY mother tongue to etc.
