The biggest threat to a major policy announcement is a change in government that then completely reverses that decision. So on that basis, I spoke to the Saskatchewan NPD and asked:
Coal Revival: Would the Saskatchewan NDP reverse the coal decision? And why are they now big on nuclear power?

Retiring coal at a 1:1 ratio to new nuclear generation is likely going to be a detriment to nuclear construction. Perhaps include that there could be a 10-15 year time lag in retiring the coal. We don’t want to throw out coal generation that’s still working well, nor should we be slow in building at least some nuclear.
On coal:
It assumes there’s not going to be penalties for violating some of the international treaties, which Canada is a signatory on around coal. Folks may not like it, may disagree with it, but there are laws, professional obligations, and treaties with penalties that we are subject to. Some of those penalties are up to a million dollars a day. There are going to be costs to any decision that we make. Power is not going to be free.”
That’s all you need to know from Ms.WordSalad. “I know coal can keep the lights on BUT…”
Want to know what an NDP government will do for the energy sector in Sask.? – look to the East and have a gander at Wab Canoe’s Manitoba, how he and Eby stiffed the rest of Canada with their pipeline agreement.
“Energy”, “Future” and “NDP” should never appear in the same sentence.
Communists regularly lie to get to the end game. For example, Lenin told the peasants he would get them out from under the Czar’s foot. He conveniently omitted the part where the Czar’s foot would be replaced by his own. To communists, including the NDP, the end always justifies the means.
I’m glad someone can stomach taking to these filthy traitors of the NDP. I’m also glad there weren’t any follow up questions to her obvious lies, because there’s no point. Hilarious when she complains that Sask power didn’t give her a detailed breakdown of their plans, as if anyone should be giving information to the enemy. And she automatically assumes that it’s “government” that must decide on how much gets invested where, just like every grasping parasite.
A little off topic, but.
Would you so called “Christians” in Canada actually look into what each party stands for before voting? Maybe just once?
The biggest pushers of abortion in Canada, Liberals, NDP, Greens.
As seen on a Patriot Post meme: “You can’t vote for abortion on Tuesday and then sing “Oh how I love Jesus” on Sunday.”.
Part of Matthew chapter 7, Jesus speaking about His so-called followers, “I never knew you, get away from me, you workers of lawlessness”.
