  1. Propaganda media outlet releases more propaganda.

Dog bites man. Wake me up when Man bites dog.

  2. Gosh, this is awful news. Do you realize how badly this is going to hurt David Brooks? I mean, how’s he going to afford $78 triple single-malt burgers if PBS goes tits up?

  3. It looks like this is the agency that Fed money passed through on the way to PBS & NPR.

With no Fed bucks for them to distribute they close their doors.

100 employees to take the fed money and pass it on?! Wow.

  4. Well, just like every other Government run program, the business model for PBS (and NPR) is flawed. When they say that only 15% is Federal funding for PBS, they are excluding the “member stations” throughout the country, which, also, receive funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). The CPB is what is shut down, and about $1.2 Billion along with it.

That 15% is a ruse. It’s not, technically, wrong. Just misleading.

  5. l watched PBS from Buffalo. lived in St Catharines, TV antenna days. liked their science shows, Frontline, consumer stuff. l remember answering one about radial tires. they never got back. l think it was channel 17. even gave them some money and yes they did solicit Cdn donors.
havent watched ANY tv since the inherited flat screen fizzled in 2018

  6. Is “TV Ontario” still a thing? Ontario’s own PBS, complete with donation commercials.
