  1. I can not laugh at Canada for electing this piece of garbage.

    My country since 1976:

    Jimmy Carter: 4 years
    Bill Clinton – 8 years
Barack Hussein Obama – 8 years
Joe Biden – 4 years, well I mean he was alive – sort of
    RINO Bushes – 12 Years

8 years of Reagan and 8 Years of Trump (assuming they don’t shoot him again) have been and will be the happiest for me in the last 50 years.

I pray Canada gets out of its funk.

    1. He may as well run in ’28 – face it, he’s won 3 in a row so far. I’m sure he has the support.
      Just sayin’

  2. The US Court of International Trade ruled in late May that Trump overstepped his authority when he imposed tariffs on Canada and Mexico. The Trump administraton appealed the decision to the US Court of Appeals, who placed a stay on the original ruling until they could hear the case, scheduled at the end of this month.

Depending on how they decide, and possibly how the Supreme Court decides if the case is appealed there, these negotiations could become moot.

    1. Annnnnnd … the BASIS upon which Trump’s tariffs were CANCELED ? The Trade Court simply made-up the notion that Trump lacks the Executive EMERGENCY Authority to regulate Trade via Tariffs.

And now all the Communist Americans have left is Jerome Powell … who is holding the American economy hostage to some imaginary “tariff-induced inflation” … which simply hasn’t happened.

    2. It won’t be moot for long, even if it is in initially. Trump has the Dems on the run, congress needs to simply pass a law delegating the authority to the executive, and the USCIT can pound sand.

  3. But Carney’s soo smart, Harvard/Oxford PhDs omg. Where’s the expertise/elbows-up and all that crap?

    1. Trump is a street fighter … and Carney is still consulting the WEF rule book for how to conduct a proper diplomatic negotiation. Mr. Polite Canada keeps getting kicked in the nards and elbowed in the face … while he speaks bilingually about some irrelevant nonsense.

  4. “In theory there’s no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.” Yogi Berra.

Has he ever swung a hammer? (No, UnMe, not got hammered while swinging…)

  5. … says chances are low for tariff-free trade deal with U.S.

As long as the dairy cartel rules Canada there can be no tariff-free deal with anyone.

    1. “As long as the dairy cartel rules Canada there can be no tariff-free deal with anyone.”

True. Their days are definitely numbered…although I do look forward the the fierce Liberal/NDP defence of the despicable oligopoly that keeps the prices of dairy and poultry products artificially high in Canada. Go ahead: tell us all how much better it is for Canadians to pay *three times as much* for milk and cheese as the Americans do. Tell us all it’s “for our own good”, if you dare.

      1. A friend of mine, a true blue Conservative (he ran for the local office many years ago) who is also from a farming family, will adamantly defend the dairy cartel in the face of any and all opposition.

Soi-disant “conservatives” are just fine with government subsidies and handouts as long as they’re the ones benefitting. The deeply sad thing is that he thinks the dairy cartel benefits his tribe, rather than the Quebec millionaires.

  6. It’s not unreasonable to assume that Canadian standards for milk and milk products: no growth hormone residue, etc., is the real trade barrier. Why would the dairy cartel care about duties? They wouldn’t face competition anyway.
