  1. I find that quite alarming. It means things must be really really bad in the Lieberal party if their own are abandoning the ship.

  2. 85 of 105? Talk about stacking the deck! Canada needs an elected Governor General and Senate and a direct election of the PM by ALL Canadians. I wonder if there are any “No Kings” protests underway in the Great White North?

  3. Heh.
    A bunch of uni-party operatives.
Shuffling the deckchairs of this Titanic.
The Senate is done, stick a fork in them and forget about it.
From the West, they stink like dead fish ..

    1. On June 3, she said she would be asking for a Senate probe into whether Canada’s treatment of Indigenous people constituted “a crime against humanity and a genocide.”

OMG. What kind of a LOON is that woman? As to her own “feelings of loneliness” from her own Residential School Experience? Yeah, that’s what happens to Boarding school kids. Ask any filthy rich kid whose parents sent them to the top Prep Schools in the Country at; Andover, Essex … they probably felt lonely and missed their parents too. But they never accuse mommy and daddy of genocide or crimes against humanity.

Yeah … new termites in your “conservative” Party.

  4. It has taken 100 years to thoroughly exploit and corrupt the CON-federation. Many Westerners have become cognizant of their colonial status and there is growing agitation.
Your right Tom, Canada should be a republic.

    1. Well either that or Canada should be operated as a confederation in the first place.

In a confederation, provinces come together creating a loose (and oddly enough, often temporary) union for matters of political, economic or administrative convenience. Within a confederation, member states maintain their sovereignty and often appoint a weak central authority to speed up bureaucratic matters.

The feds have tried to centralize power in Ottawa and have overridden provincial jurisdiction by force of law or by bribing provinces with their own money that the feds have extracted from the country by federal overtaxation. The federal government tax take should be cut by 30% and the tax room should be handed over to the provinces to deal with as THEY see fit. The big push on this federal overreach actually began in earnest under Comrade Pierre Trudeau. You see similar things happening in the EU and in the US under the Democrats and the reason is simple…it is easier for the globalists to control a relatively small number of federal politicians and lots of provincial or state politicians.

    2. Reading history with an eye for political shenanigans and corporate greed, it feels to me like Confederation was a buddy-buddy deal cooked up by Canadian and English businessmen in the 1860s.

Major clue, no constitution, just the British North America Act. Seems scammy, you know?
