1. This shouldn’t be a shock to anyone.

   The Liberals aren’t interested in the legalities of gun ownership.

   They don’t believe citizens are entitled to own guns under any circumstances.

   1. It’s all about the optics. Liberals want to be seen to be doing something about gun violence in large urban centers (where Liberal support is strong). But there’s really not much they can do about illegal guns and illegal gun owners and they have a political need to be seen to be taking action. So they go after law-abiding gun owners.

      1. Meanwhile liberal judges give light sentences to criminals who use illegal guns to commit crimes.

         Or toss the case altogether.

   2. – And wasn’t it a Liberal who declared “[People] who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA — ordinary citizens don’t need guns, as their having guns doesn’t serve the State.”

2. And, so what else is new? Anybody else remember Dim Kim Campbell (a.k.a. “Canada’s First Female Prime Minister”) and her gun Bill, during the drafting of which she publicly boasted that she never once talked to anybody on the pro-gun side of the debate.

   Thus proving for posterity that she was all-about governing from a standpoint of virtuous ignorance.

4. I’m shocked he admitted to his ignorance. Liberals usually obfuscate. What they should have done is gotten a commitment that he would take PAL and RPAL training and present his certificates to the House. At least then he wouldn’t be totally ignorant.
