I urge all to click all the way through to the ‘root’ post. It does an excellent job of characterizing and cataloguing exactly why this can’t be in K-9. I have been highly critical of Premier Smith and will continue to be but she (or her people) nailed it here.

She’s also playing this smart politically by not making that big a deal of the issue and leaving it to her opponents to puff up and go Crusader Mode. Basing a campaign on this stuff-from either side of the political realm-is electoral poison.

‘graphic novels’ (comic books) with Archie and Veronica or Jughead and Betty are never introduced into
school libraries, it’s always Archie and Jughead or Betty and Veronica getting busy. And that is on purpose,
so that the NDP can yell about it being about censoring LGBT and book banning. If it were also Archie and Veronica getting banned, it would diminish their real agenda.
