It’s Probably Nothing

Sam Cooper- Explosive FBI Warning—CCP, Iran, and Mex-Cartels Partnering in Canada to Move Fentanyl and Terrorists Into U.S.

In an explosive Sunday interview that will place tremendous pressure on Prime Minister Mark Carney’s new Liberal government, FBI Director Kash Patel alleged that Mexican cartels, Chinese Communist Party operatives, and Iranian threat actors have forged a new axis of criminal cooperation, using Canada’s porous northern border and the Port of Vancouver—not the southern Mexican border—as their preferred entry point to flood fentanyl and terror suspects into the United States.

  1. To say that I am not surprised would be a vast understatement.

Next, you’re going to hear that the feds (Canadian government) are in on it.

    You heard it here first.

    1. No, Marx Carnage’s response will be total denial. The average brain-dead Kanadian will concur.

    2. But, but, but … “it’s just a tiny amount of fentanyl and terrorists”. I seem to recall this being the talking point.

      1. A tiny amount … that was found. There could be 2 reasons for this. The first of course is that there is no fentanyl crossing the border (the default Canadian response). The second reason … and much more likely … is that Canada hasn’t been looking very hard. Could there be a traitor in Stalag 17?

      2. …barely enought to kill a hundred thousand people, why is the US so upset about it? /s

      3. As I recall, a while back a whistleblower Canadian border agent said they were under orders to only inspect 1% of the containers coming into the Port of Vancouver. Could explain the govt. claims that only 1% of the Fentanyl comes into Canada.

    3. Cooper has been saying that for years. And he says EBY has been told by him quite a while ago. Sooo.. Its widespread.

  2. I doubt anyone can make *serious money* in the illicid drugs trade without having border patrols, shipping companies, police, courts, politicians, AND media in on it. $Billions of profits, all tax free, unless you figure the stuffed brown paper bags are a tax as well.

Wonder what they’re going to talk about next month at the G7 meeting here in Kananaskis ?
The President will be home for the next while, nothing to focus on but domestic troubles, the incredible budget, … and the problem neighbors.

and, hopefully Sam Cooper has a food taster.

    1. Canada has long become that neighbor who has a run down trailer that should have condemned long ago, has a trash strewn overgrown yard, and constant coming and going by extremely dodgy characters. Not to mention the loud music, loud parties, the drug smoke and the frequent loud arguments that regularly disturb the peace.

    2. You are very cynical and paranoid.

But really, not nearly cynical or paranoid enough.

  3. At least were selling something, but I think it would be a lot better if it were Oil and Natural gas.

    1. Well, BC had to find something to replace mining. Apparently it’s drugs and using real estate money laundering through Canada’s major banks.

It’s darkly humorous that the BC NDP & Quebec’s provincial and federal leaders are opposed to the “dirty” oil industry/pipelines because it raises the value of the Canadian dollar and affects exports….but they have no objections to BC becoming a dirty narco state. Though I think that’s because Quebec’s ports are a hub for stolen vehicles and other organized crime syndicates. BC and Quebec’s exports seem to have a lot in common. Ottawa must think shutting down the Atlantic and Pacific organized crime trade and money laundering will negatively affect Canada’s GDP.

      1. And don’t forget – the world’s largest pornography company is headquartered in Montreal.

        1. Oil workers, miners and agriculture might soon be the last legitimate business operations in Canada. Physically demanding work but honest work for honest pay.

        2. They are probably going to move their bestiality division to Mississauga.

      2. Do you think that Alberta and Saskatchewan are clean? The drug ingredients et al. may come through the ports, but they don’t stay there.
PS. your brave oilpatch boys often have some really….interesting…tastes.

There’s plenty of blame to spread around, no worries about that.

Shutting it down will affect your GDP, as well as your politicians’ (ALL parties) investment portfolios.

  4. Canada is a shithole.
    Garbage economy
    Garbage government
    Coward sheep for citizens
Unassimilated predator class immigrants preying on sheep above (who wants to assimilate with a sheep?)
Entitled, rock hard stupid selfish boomers
    Broken healthcare
    Crap weather

If you nuke Canada, at least for once it would be warm, and you would do the world a favor. The world would appreciate not being scolded by Karens who have nothing to scold about.

    1. I’m a boomer and I hate the part of our cohort that are leftist stumblebums.

I’m also pretty sure we boomers divide much as the rest of society, namely government tit-suckers, including all civil servants, are leftist Liberals to the bone. The problem is that the lefty swine boomers have lots of time, lots of stolen money via indexed pensions and big fat constantly open mouths.

The indexed pensions means they do not give a rat’s ass about inflation.

  5. Canada is totally in on it. The question is what is the nature of Canada’s involvement. Is this simple bought-and-paid-for corruption? Or is Canada willingly ideologically aligned with China and Iran? The two options are, of course, not mutually exclusive.

    1. After Oct. 7th, who was encouraged to demonstrate against who on the streets of Toronto? For weeks. What religion’s churches and schools are peppered with gunfire regularly, while the government does nothing?

Whose refugees are being accepted by Canada in their hundreds of thousands, and whose are being turned away?

What nation’s products were banned from store shelves by government fiat, and what nation’s agents are -blatantly- interfering in Canada’s elections?

The answers to these and other questions will not be found in Canadian media.

I’m very interested to see this country’s government take a real good kick in the nethers from the Yanks over all this. The spectre of financial losses is all that motivates these people, I swear. They’ll move mountains to avoid a 10% drop in their stock portfolios.

  6. Kash Patel was appointed by Trump, and has been known to advance some dubious theories.

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/kash-patel-conspiracies-fbi-director-b2659585.html

So is Patel working from solid information here, or has he been instructed to justify Trump’s tariffs against Canada, given that there is some impetus in Congress to limit the President’s ability to impose tariffs?

    1. It hasn’t just been the Trump administration that have been telling Canada that there is a problem. It’s just that the Trump administration is being more public about it.

As stated before, this has been an ongoing, decades long issue. It’s just come to a head as it were.

But by all means, keep living in that bubble for as long as you can. Nothing bad can ever come from failing to face reality, can it?

      1. I’m quite prepared to face reality, BUT I need trustworthy sources of information, and Patel isn’t it.

Go ahead and cite better sources if you have them. It should be easy if the problem’s been around for decades,

          https://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news/releases/2004/09/20040916-11.html
“While the vast majority of illicit drugs entering the United States continues to come from South America and Mexico, the President expressed his continuing concerns about the flow of illicit drugs from Canada.”

Better? Of note are the dates: 2023, 2011 and 2004. It’s been a problem for quite a while now; it’s just that this administration is a bit more forceful and vocal about it. Much like NATO spending, Canada has dragged its feet on doing anything about it — you’ve shown a distinct lack of seriousness, wonder why?.

          https://www.canada.ca/en/news/archive/2006/08/prime-minister-harper-announces-initiatives-improve-canada-border-security.html
“In 2006, then Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced plans to arm Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) officers and equip them with firearms, a process that began in 2007. While the full implementation was expected to take place over 10 years, the initial phase saw the deployment of armed officers beginning in September 2007, with roughly 150 armed officers deployed by March 31, 2008. The announcement was part of a broader initiative to enhance Canada’s border security”

Gee, that sounds a lot like Trudeau’s ‘promise’ to get NATO spending up to the minimum…in 10 years.

          1. This is to Allan (and possibly “Killer”): those are Canadian and U.S. government websites, not mainstream media, not bloggers, government websites that I linked to and quoted.

        2. …better than Wired and The Independent? Dude, the dogsh*t on my shoe is a better source of information than those.

    2. Well, if he’s telling me something I don’t want to hear, he’s got to be full of shit, and probably crooked too, right?

      1. Do you not want to hear it? Or do you want everything that comes out of Trump’s mouth to be verified?

I file this under “Needs to be verified by a credibie source, because neither Trump nor Patel have much respect for facts.”

        1. “… neither Trump nor Patel have much respect for facts.”

Then they ought to get along very well our “natural governing party” and its voters.

        2. I gave you links to government websites specifically from a time span ranging from 2004 to 2023, specifically not from any pronouncements made during either of President Trump’s terms.

        3. Both Trump and Patel are conspicuously more honest than you are, and have an excellent record when it comes to telling the truth. Patel is certainly in a position to know what he’s talking he about. And it doesn’t suit you to hear it. Well, gums. Am I being bribed by Trump to say this, or is the money coming straight from Putin? You’ll have to speculate, I’m afraid.

  7. No Killer. Kanada has imposed tariffs and duties with out justification on American stuff for decades as a highway robber. On many products we didn’t build anyhow.
They tolerated our pompous governments as a busy father tolerates an immature son. Waiting for him to grow up.

“ “It is usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance.” – Thomas Sowell

    1. “Kanada has imposed tariffs and duties with out justification on American stuff for decades as a highway robber. On many products we didn’t build anyhow.”

Wow, you are really singing from the Trump hymn book.

      1. You didn’t address my point.

      2. In recent years, the US has imposed more tariffs on Canada than Canada has imposed on the US. American tariffs on lumber and steel were particularly egregious, whereas Canadian tariffs on American dairy and some poultry products were almost never collected, given that they only kicked in when specified limits were exceeded.

      3. Canadian tariffs on US goods were governed by the USMCA agreement, which Trump signed and claimed was the best trade agreement ever.

And what tariffs did Canada impose on US products that Canada doesn’t produce itself? I’m familiar with Canadian tariffs, and can’t think of any.

      1. None of that matters.
        They’re in charge.

Best to have short, medium and long term plans as well as any number of Plan B’s.
Our resource production is more important than Donald thinks (says), but he should only count in the short term.
Unfortunately we have long term Liberals looking for their own short term gain, nation be damned.

      2. OK Killer, run down to a branch of an American bank and let me know the 5 year fixed mortgage rate, and stop by Verizon and let me know what kind of deal I can get on a wireless plan?

      3. ” . . . whereas Canadian tariffs on American dairy and some poultry products were almost never collected, given that they only kicked in when specified limits were exceeded . . . “

You make little sense. If we raise our USA tariffs against Canada even higher, you won’t be able to sell us any lumber. At that point, according to you, everything would be fine, since the tariffs wouldn’t be collected.

For some time, I’ve been reassuring my Canadian friends to come on down, that American attitudes about Canadians are positive despite our leaders’ foibles.

But that’s about to change, I think. Canada’s about to be shown to be a very bad neighbor. Once this new news is more widely known, it’s going to be uncomfortable to be Canadian down here.

        1. For some time, I’ve been reassuring my Canadian friends to come on down, that American attitudes about Canadians are positive despite our leaders’ foibles.

My experience over the past four decades has been that Canadians are absolute arseholes to Americans, while Americans have been nothing but polite and friendly in every interaction I’ve had with them.

America is about to start treating Canadians the way Canadians have always treated Americans, and we’re not going to like it very much.

        1. Actually he addressed it in point 3. The previous Trump administration agreed to the current dairy TRQ scheme and called it “the best deal ever”

Do not forget that the US also has TRQs on agricultural products.

    2. Be specific on what tariffs and duties Canada has imposed unfairly. Name the product and how much.

For agriculture yes we do TRQs just like the US. That includes dairy. The previous Trump administration called the USMCA deal the “greatest deal ever” which included those dairy TRQs.

If you want to talk about unfair tariffs and duties, let’s talk about the softwood ones. No court or WTO tribunal has ever agreed with the American narrative that Canadian softwood is subsidized and dumped below cost.

  8. “ I’m familiar with Canadian tariffs, and can’t think of any.”
Hardly a defence. There have been hundreds of items.
I’ve been bitching about anti Americanism, and it is an “ism”, for decades. Long before Trump came along. Perhaps you never grew wheat or malt barley in your life and we’re not directly impacted by the iron fist of the kanadian state.

  9. Security and access at port terminals is the responsibility of their independent operators.
    ____________________________________________

Vancouver Fraser Port uses subcontractors for security and clearances. That means local law enforcement and the RCMP don’t get called in until they say so. That’s a problem. Because, all it takes is a few bad eggs working privately for the Port to hide the actual crimes from authorities.

I’m still of the belief that there are employees in these subcontracted security forces working for the cartels, working for auto theft rings, and answering to Port Authority management instead of law enforcement. I believe the same problems and issues reside in the railway transports as well. There’s no other explanation for the ease in which criminal rings and cartels are able to move merchandise so freely without intervention.

    1. “I’m still of the belief that there are employees in these subcontracted security forces working for the cartels, working for auto theft rings, and answering to Port Authority management instead of law enforcement. But of course there are. Everyone has his price and a lot of them can be bought cheaply, especially by criminals who are raking in obscene amounts of money. It’s guaranteed that all of the organizations you mentioned have been corrupted by dirty money.

      1. There was a CBC story on auto theft from the Brampton area of Ontario a little while back. They inadvertently exposed this truth in real time. A guy in Brampton who had two vehicles stolen from his driveway decided to put an Apple Air Tag in his new truck. Sure enough, it was stolen from his driveway, and he was able to follow it in real time. First it traveled by train freight, and ended up on a dock in Montreal. The truck owner called his local police who responded quickly and traveled to Montreal. They, actually, located the freight container with the truck in it and were standing next to it when the Dock Security representatives told them to get lost. They wouldn’t be doing anything.

The truck then followed the usual transport path to Antwerp where it headed south down into Qatar. The Apple Air Tag worked the entire time. The guy hired a private investigator who located the vehicle on a used car lot in Qatar over a month later.

      2. Vancouver longshoremen used to be controlled by Hells Angels. Not sure it still is.

  10. You guys just eat this baloney up. 0.74 lbs of fentanyl seized coming from Canada in 2024.

Nothing Trump or his lackeys has said about Canada is true since Jan 20 except for military spending.

If we are a major source of fentanyl, why hasn’t commercial inspections increased at the US border? It’s been exactly the same since Jan 20. Please remember what I do for a living.

    1. In that case, please carry on as you have Canada. Everything will be fine.

  11. “Our” governments have been hostile to productive native Canadians for at least half a century. That they would purposely create and nurture an illegal drug epidemic would be perfectly in line with their track record.

Those who mis-rule us are criminals and liars. Both on the left and on the controlled fake-right.

      1. That’s due to calculations and they’re using assumptions with those calculations:

        – how much can these labs produce?
        – how much fentanyl does Canada consume?
        – what is considered a dose?

        Etc.

Fiddle with the numbers and you can come up with crazy things too.

There actually isn’t evidence that Canada exports fentanyl. But there’s plenty of evidence that we import other hard drugs and illegal guns from the US.

    1. … “While TD disclosed a Justice Department probe into its anti-money-laundering practices last year (2023) the focus on money laundering related to illegal drug sales hasn’t been previously reported.”

… “The amount of financial crime going on in Canada right now is far greater than the mind can comprehend. It involves housing, mortgages, and illicit funds flowing in from European, Chinese, and South American networks into Canada’s financial systems. The way Canada is welcoming third-world criminals and their funds risks turning it into a third-world enterprise.”

… “TD Bank Pleads guilty to conspiring to commit money laundering. Fined US$3 Billion. The bank’s failure to act on repeated warnings from regulators, internal audits, and third-party consultants allowed criminal organizations to exploit its systems. The fallout has significantly impacted TD’s leadership, including CEO Bharat Masrani, who announced his retirement amid the scandal.”
