…the Carney government’s lack of transparency is concerning. On April 10, during the election campaign, Carney briefly paused his campaign to convene a cabinet committee meeting on tariffs. At the time, the move raised eyebrows. Now, it’s clear he was preparing to walk back Ottawa’s retaliatory measures. Yet the public was not informed, at least not openly. No formal announcement was made during the campaign. Voters were left in the dark — arguably to avoid alienating the Elbows Up base.
Since Trump’s first term his opponents have been desperately seeking someone or something that would bring Trump to heel.
Carney was supposed to be the super economist genius that could befuddle Trump make him stop with the teasing and “51st state” meme. The liberals their media pundits and their blind followers are currently employing cognitive dissonance and plausible denial that he’s able to handle Trump without evidence that it isn’t Carney receiving the metaphorical wedgie.
They claim that since he didn’t Zelinskied, he had great success negotiating with Trump.
The ultimate stupidity still remains that government of Canada is paying to advertise in the US that “Tariffs are a Tax”, while imposing tariffs on Canadians.

I’ve been telling anybody that will listen,joining Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba (part or all),and Northern Ontario (as far south as one great lake for access to the St.Lawrence Seaway and the Atlantic Ocean) and part of British Columbia to the Pacific will create the absolute RICHEST country on planet Earth.
And with a new Constitution that outlaws any political group that is NOT Center or right, as well as not allow Trudeau or Trudeau relatives to set foot in this new country.
In fact I think there should be a warrant out for the arrest of any of the Trudeau family in this new country, LOL.
I like your idea but would suggest the following edit – perhaps add northern BC (they are not “cuckoo-bananas” like the south) and be very careful with the inclusion of Manitoba. On my news feed, Manitoba has been losing population, especially young people for at least the last 10 years. It is one of the richest provinces in terms of natural resources and being central on the North American continent, but a succession of “less than special” governments have destroyed the “get up and go” spirit of the people.
Naturally of course what goes with my fantastic idea to create the richest country in the world, is that everybody who voted liberal or NDP, or supporters of them, will simply have to leave this new country. There will be no room in this new country for anybody on the left, be they liberals or ndp, marxists or any other shitlib types. They will have to leave this geographic area and move to wonderful and fantastic liberal and NDP places like Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and the East Coast of Canada. There will be plenty of conservatives living in Toronto and other areas who will be leaving behind their Apartments and their homes which they will sell to the people’s exiting from the new country. Included in those who will be asked to leave the new country will be any immigrant that has arrived in the country since the first day of Justin Trudeau’s liberal government in 2015. As well all Aboriginal groups will have their lands but any treaties signed under the Justin Trudeau liberal government regime will become null and void.
The separation that the west wants isn’t what the Laurentian elites say it is.
The current configuration of confederation is what the problem is.
The west just wants Ottawa out of its business and thus can be done by leaving the British North America act.

Past statements and ones made during the capaign suggest that he he just ignores the lessons of economics and history. I don’t know why they feel thay have to hide the walk back from tariffs from his voting base, they just except as a genius move.

In what universe does a country have a separatist party that may hold the balance of power when it comes to questions of national concern? Everyone should know that Queeebec will never pull the trigger on sovereignty as it would be the end of their cash cow from the west .
