La Canada … where Adam says he lives … is a drop-dead beautiful, virtually unknown little village in LA. I call it Carmel-by-sea of LA. No, it’s not by the sea … but the homes are all unique little cottages surrounded by oaks and beautiful vegetation (the kind of which all the insurance companies and now the State of CA say you have to chop down … otherwise your house will burn … and our firefighters can’t prevent it. Gawwwd). Yeah … it’s one of those suburbs that is SO PRICEY as to effectively erect a wall around itself denying entry to all undesirables.
Carolla is far smarter than meets the ear. His humorous common sense simply isn’t so common anymore, it’s a rarity. Witness his analysis of Andrew Tate. Perfect. The Tate’s are caricatures of manhood, they’re synthetic images of “men” … REAL men don’t behave that way.
And note … he doesn’t see a single black face on any of the construction crews in PP or Malibu. Nope. And he’s right … Laborers … construction LABORERS are making $50-60.00/hr in CA. But black folk can’t be bothered by the hard work. No, the Meskins will outwork and outhustle them … so they just sit and collect welfare checks and complain that “da white man be keeping me down!”
PS … La Canada is mostly all “old money”. That’s a noticeable distinction in CA, as “old money” is almost always conservative.
People who don’t flaunt their money … just as Carolla says he drives a Mazda SUV and doesn’t care when the doors get dinged in the Home Depot parking lot

I’ll give it a listen … suffice to say, I’m connected to the industry … and the LAST black faces I saw on a construction site was on my own remodel. I paid two brothers (who happened to be brothas) $400.00/day ea. to do demolition work on my own remodel project. They both worked hard and smart … and spoke English which is a big benefit here in CA. $50.00/hr. to do demolition work… hard to believe.
Oh, and they both owned homes and had families in Vacaville. They had rough upbringings, no dad, and were determined NOT to repeat those mistakes. Imagine that … Demo workers making $50/hr. and could afford homes in the hinterlands of CA
